The proverbial canary...

Snowflakes were added because I couldn't get the results I wanted, and by the time I did, it would've been snowing.

Another odd manipulation I managed. Thought it was kind of pretty.

Universal splintering?

Cosmic collision?

Gaseous expansions?

The answers are everywhere we look.

lifting off the ground is unbearable

Sometimes the fact that I'm mentally restricted comes through in my photographs.

How could I possibly shoot Seattle's Helix foot bridge without eventually tweaking its imagery with a little bit of digital manipulation?

I like this picture, the seemingly endless corridor through a strange, devastated place. no much manipulation on that one (except for some color/contrast stuff and a little grain tuning to make it look "harder"). to me, it provides a strange sort of "aesthetics" somewhere between industrial architecture and corrosion of concrete/steel structures...

We belong to a very fun and friendly Flickr group called Down Under Challenge. If you are interested in photo manipulation you might like to join us. A new challenge photo is posted every Friday (Thurs in the USA) for everyone to work with. Details and group rules can be found on the group's home page. Please note, only challenge photos may be posted to the pool.

My Flickr friend Chrystal let me use this background image for my latest White Noise image and she liked the final result so much she asked if I could add her to the same background. She picked this lovely image she had taken of herself in her wedding dress and I added it to the background image she took at the Fisher body plant in Detroit.

It's kinda different editing a photo that you had nothing to do with in creating.

What do you think?

While enduring the long flight home from vacation, we passed some huge thunderheads while going through Texas airspace. Their beauty inspired me to pick up my droid phone and snap a few pics.

While originally happy with the usual beautiful cloud formation from this point of view, I started to play with the picture in the PicSay Pro app. Once I applied the mirror effect, I was shocked to see a very convincing nuclear mushroom cloud. Wow...

I further tweaked color, saturation, temperature, and some other things to end up with this rather morbid interpretation of what started out as a beautiful picture of a cloud.

I cleaned up the noise and some artifacting in Lightroom to finish it.

My first proper attempt at a photo manipulation, it's not perfect but i am quite happy with the outcome...

This is the reason I stay out of the sun. I tend to get all 'Tales from the Darkside'. Thanks to Michelle K for the PS inspiration. I can't work her tricks, though...
