Manipulation in Photoshop

Love it? Hate it? Let me know why! I'm not well versed with photo-manipulations and fantasy image edits just yet. As my own worst critic I'm not 100% satisfied at this point I am looking for criticism; good or bad. So let me have it. Should I reduce the contrast? Should I restart completely? Is the price right? I appreciate all feedback, thanks!

I transitioned the light to be very bright from the source and slowly fall back as it spreads. That effect may not be visible on all devices; but it exists. I don't see the same tones while viewing on my cell vs pc. I went with the closed-eye photo vs open-eyes to give the illusion that she's dreaming it up ~ bringing to life the story in her hands. Whether or not I was successful is up to the audience.

The original image is my own photograph. I used my own lighting with an image of this sort in mind. The post-process light effects are a combination of free brushes and other objects that I felt added to the image. About 20 layers just for the light bursts~

The final version will have the star near her feet removed. It's a remnant from a previous edit. My bad!

Every life has energy. Without energy, there wouldn't be plants and animals; planets and stars; galaxies and the cosmos. They say there is an energy that is spread across in the cosmos and we are all part of it. —————————.

This image tries to centralize matter within energy. This is photo manipulation of course, using a technique that became popular with the Photoshop cc update last year. This technique was a common thing for a while and then it died. Do you think with this, people will start doing more of it😊? Why not!

Hope you liked the concept behind my image- in the centre is a tulip, taken in the spring of 2015.

How I spent my quarantine...

This was an old manipulation from last year, 2017. I was a little down when I hurt my foot last year. It limited me from playing tennis or doing any physical activities for almost 6 months. It happened when I ran and accidentally hit my foot against the sharp corner of my sofa! Now, a year later, it's all better. With that said, I'll be posting some happier manipulation next week :).

Have a great Friday and weekend ahead dear friends, and remember, don't run inside your house, LOL!

This was an amazing night at Port Willunga in Adelaide South Australia.

There was a storm coming in so quickly. The Ball of Light seemed to sense this and was trying hard to get as much done before the storm arrived.

There was an erie light around, like when a thunderstorm comes during the day. The moon was only out for a small while and then was gone!

The orange Ball of Light doesnt come about much, but I am glad it did this night.

GO HARD!

(There is no photoshop manipulation of this image at all. It is taken in a single exposure, with no use of "mechanical devices". Only adjustments are to level, brightness sat etc)

I created this for the Artistic Manipulation Group's "Mixmaster Challenge 16," but I totally forgot the 'landscape layout' rule until I went to post it :-/. If I can rework it as a horizontal image, you may yet see another version but in the meantime.......

as I worked in the veggie patch, I felt something was watching. I turned and saw a large preying Mantis looking hard at me. That's no spelling mistake, it was preying not praying. So I took a picture - that showed it. Now I have it trapped inside this sphere, where it can do no harm. And it can no longer watch me preyingly with those big eyes.

the other night i had a shoot to do for S Mech ------he has came out to watch me do some light painting before and was hoping that i could do a light painted photo for the cover of his new Hip Hop album that his working on called "Secrets of Accountable Jest" ---hell ya i was stoked to be part of that --( This is not the photo per say but this is one from our shoot) the ideas the same for the other pics but with out a person in it ---its just the chest with the light coming out -------it was lots of fun and doing light painting for someone its one of the best gigs ever -----

Specs -----Flash SB-800 is just behind the left side of the chest shooting upwards at me 1/32 power and gelled Yellow fired via Nikons cls at start of exposure ----after the flash went off i did the blue el wire in a up and down way to get that blue light streaking up from the chest ---then after that i lit the chest with just a normal flashlight doing some splashes to the outside and a few from inside the chest as well ----then after that i finished with the white light burst in the air floating out from the trunk -------- all done in the dark with my camera on a tripod and a long exposure

This week's Challenge was Chairs

I hope the Bench for two will suffice as a chair.

created for: Surrealart challenge "Statue of Liberty"

The Statue of Liberty is almost like a national emblem in this country, second only to the flag. This kind of manipulation is a bit of a joke for the Surreal Photo Group, there is no disrespect intended here.

I originally did an image similar to this using my daughter Christina. But in matching the lips I wanted a girl with red lipstick, which Chris never wears. Pixabay supplied the model
