sooooo yummy, at Lauren and Peter's. What I remember: dehydrated olives, roasted peppers, olive oil pudding, anchovies, roasted garlic, tortilla strips with individually melted manchego cheese on top. Transcendental nachos.
Campo de Criptana is one of the towns in La Mancha where the regional traditional architecture is best preserved. The town being on a hill, most of the lanes are steep and winding, many of them with cobblestone steps. The traditional Manchego houses are immaculately whitewashed with their bases and door frames painted in indigo.

my own semi-local take on spanish tapas. . . toasted french bread brushed with garlic-infused olive oil, topped with manchego cheese, serrano ham and locally grown mutsu crispin apples, then drizzled with olive oil. . . very tasty
