My grand Scandinavian Aviation Tour 1982
A beautiful sight - the first time on my tour of Finnish airfields where I managed to get up close and personal to some Soviet hardware :)
On the fourth day of our 'grand tour' we started the day in Savonlinna, with a drive to the border with the U.S.S.R. near Parikkala - my personal highlight! We then travelled south-west along the border via Lappeenranta airfield to Utti, where we were amazed to come across an open day at the local air base!! And there were Russians and vintage Propliners on show - lucky me :)
HS-6 Mil-Mi8T The air force, Finnish Army Aviation (Suomen Maavoimat) and Frontier Guard (Rajavartiolaitos) operated a total of ten Mil Mi-8 helicopters. The first one, coded HS-2, was delivered on May 28, 1973, and the second, coded HS-1, was delivered three days later. Finland eventually obtained eight Mi-8T and two Mi-8PS. The type logged more than 36.000 flight hours in Finnish military service from 1973 to 2010, without encountering a single fatal crash.
Utti air base unofficial air show :) - so we rolled up in our Swedish Saab at the local air base hoping to be able to peer through the fence, and discovered that they were holding an annual open day for the local townsfolk! We parked up and tried to blend in with the locals, which wasn't so easy arriving in a British registered car, and me wielding my Zenith camera. Anyway, after pushing up to some flimsy ropes which had been put up, and getting the courage up to start snapping some photos, I couldn't wait to try and get close to the two Mil Mi-8s that were parked up on display, HS-2 and HS-6. I managed to grab some nice photos without incident, but we hadn't gone un-noticed! As we returned to the car, we heard a shout behind us, and as we looked round, a couple of guys were following us, and took our photos for the files! And photos of our car. But they didn't start interrogating us, so I reckon they were Finnish police rather than visiting Russians. We never heard any more about it, and I have some rare photos to cherish :)
Utti In 1918 General Carl Gustaf Mannerheim set up the first Finnish Air Force base in the village. Today, Utti is best known for the Utti Jaeger Regiment, a helicopter base and a training ground for special forces and military police, and civilian skydiving recreational activities.
HS-6 Mil Mi-8T c/n 13306 - the Mil Mi-8 (Russian: Ми-8, NATO reporting name: Hip) is a medium twin-turbine helicopter, originally designed by the Soviet Union, and now produced by Russia. In addition to its most common role as a transport helicopter, the Mi-8 is also used as an airborne command post, armed gunship, and reconnaissance platform. Along with the related, more powerful Mil Mi-17, the Mi-8 is among the world's most-produced helicopters, used by over 50 countries. As of 2015, when combined the two helicopters are the third most common operational military aircraft in the world.
The Soviet military originally showed little interest in the Mi-8 until the Bell UH-1's involvement in the Vietnam War became widely publicised as a great asset to the United States, allowing troops to move swiftly in and out of a battlefield and throughout the country. It was only then that the Soviet military rushed a troop-carrying variant of the Mil Mi-8 into production. By 1967, it had been introduced into the Soviet Air Force as the Mi-8.
The Finnish Defence Forces and the Finnish Border Guard began using Mi-8s in the 1970s, with the Finnish Air Force receiving its first, serial HS-2, on 28 May 1973, and the second, HS-1, on 31 May 1973. Six Mi-8Ts were obtained at first, followed by further two Mi-8Ts and two Mi-8Ps. Three of the helicopters were handed over to the Border Guard Wing. One of these was lost after sinking through ice during a landing in April 1982. It was soon replaced by a new Mi-8. After their Border Guard service, the helicopters were transferred to the civil register, but shortly thereafter to the Finnish Air Force. In 1997 it was decided that all helicopters, including the remaining five Mi-8Ts and two Mi-8Ps, should be transferred to the Army Wing at Utti.
All Finnish Mi-8s have now been retired, but three have been preserved. HS-6 is now on display at the Finnish Aviation Museum in Vantaa, and HS-1 is at the Päijänne Tavastia Aviation Museum in Asikkala, near Lahti. HS-4 is at the South Carelia Aircraft Museum, Lappeenranta. The two final Mi-8Ts were given to Hungary in August 2011 with all remaining spare parts. [Wiki]
My grand Scandinavian Aviation Tour 1982
After making four successful tours of Northern Europe, in 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1981, made primarily to visit some of the major airports to feed my need to see 'exotic' aircraft, but also to take in the experience of travel abroad, I was lucky to take part in my most interesting and adventurous tour in 1982 - to Scandinavia! Inspired by my long-term affinity with the region (being 6' 2" and blonde I am obviously descended from the Vikings :) I planned the trip to take in the following countries: Norway, Sweden and Finland. For some reason, I couldn't engineer Denmark into my two-week itinerary! The main goal for me was to explore some of Finland, and in particular, to at least see the border with Russia a.k.a. the U.S.S.R. :)
As Finland was the most interesting country of the three for me, I engineered quite a long visit to the country [six days] and managed to visit six of the nine military airfields located in the southern part of the country:
1) Helsinki-Malmi
2) Utti
3) Turku-Abo (shared civil airport)
4) Tampere-Pirkkala
5) Jyväskylä-Luonetjarvi (shared civil airport)
6) Kuopio-Rissala
as well as
7) Helsinki-Vantaa (shared civil airport)

Managed to capture my 3 fixations, tree, water and sky and process with my new toy Silver Effects Pro
Managed to catch some early rays in the twilight skies, looking north from Olderdalen towards the Lyngen Alps. Taken with a Samyang 14mm lens, f2.8.
Managed to get relatively close to 3 fox cubs as the played around the den before they decided enough was enough! Gorgeous evening but maybe a little to much light, and unfortunately the fence casting shadow across its back!
Managed to get my other half down to Cornwall for a few days, staying in Talland Bay. Unusually for me taking photo's wasn't really important, I just enjoyed some nice walks and paddles. Didn't venture very far, just Polperro and Looe along the coastal path.
Managed to catch two RHTT sets first set is 3S71 Coleham LMD to Coleham LMD consisting of 56049 and 56094 at Chester and the second set was 3W91 Tonbridge west yard to Tonbridge west yard consisting of 69002 and 69001 at tonbridge 02/11/2022
Finally managed to spot Sydney's newest carrier, T'way seen here on taxiway ALFA for 16R departure at Sydney Airport (SYD/YSSY) as TW502 bound for Seoul Incheon (ICN/RKSI)
Managed to get a shot in on the building site before being disrupted by Mr Security dude. Really, I ought to have just gone down the road to the lake in the park for reflections. But then I'd have been interrupted by ducks :)
I managed to sneak up on this comma back in April. It kept returning to the vertical post to rest, in between patrolling its territory and chasing off other butterflies in that feisty way these little critters have. This shot caught it just before it took off again - it has twisted its head slightly in anticipation of its imminent takeoff!

Managed a few shots before it started pouring. A typhoon is approaching, hopefully not causing casualties.
"Edinburgh (/ˈɛdɪnbərə/; Scots: Edinburgh; Scottish Gaelic: Dùn Èideann [ˈt̪uːn ˈeːtʲən̪ˠ]) is the capital of Scotland and one of its 32 council areas. Historically part of the county of Midlothian (interchangeably Edinburghshire before 1921), it is located in Lothian on the Firth of Forth's southern shore.
Recognised as the capital of Scotland since at least the 15th century, Edinburgh is the seat of the Scottish Government, the Scottish Parliament and the supreme courts of Scotland. The city's Palace of Holyroodhouse is the official residence of the monarch in Scotland. The city has long been a centre of education, particularly in the fields of medicine, Scots law, literature, philosophy, the sciences and engineering. It is the second largest financial centre in the United Kingdom (after London) and the city's historical and cultural attractions have made it the United Kingdom's second most visited tourist destination attracting 4.9 million visits including 2.4 million from overseas in 2018.
Edinburgh is Scotland's second most populous city and the seventh most populous in the United Kingdom. The official population estimates are 488,050 (2016) for the Locality of Edinburgh (Edinburgh pre 1975 regionalisation plus Currie and Balerno), 518,500 (2018) for the City of Edinburgh, and 1,339,380 (2014) for the city region. Edinburgh lies at the heart of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland city region comprising East Lothian, Edinburgh, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian.
The city is the annual venue of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. It is home to national institutions such as the National Museum of Scotland, the National Library of Scotland and the Scottish National Gallery. The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1582 and now one of four in the city, is placed 20th in the QS World University Rankings for 2020. The city is also known for the Edinburgh International Festival and the Fringe, the latter being the world's largest annual international arts festival. Historic sites in Edinburgh include Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the churches of St. Giles, Greyfriars and the Canongate, and the extensive Georgian New Town built in the 18th/19th centuries. Edinburgh's Old Town and New Town together are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, which has been managed by Edinburgh World Heritage since 1999." - info from Wikipedia.
Summer 2019 I did a solo cycling tour across Europe through 12 countries over the course of 3 months. I began my adventure in Edinburgh, Scotland and finished in Florence, Italy cycling 8,816 km. During my trip I took 47,000 photos.

Managed to find some time and space to myself this morning so there was nothing for it but to slip into something more comfortable
Managed to catch this doe as she took off ... it may be a butt shot but loved seeing her from any angle :)
Still amazed how quickly the D500 and the Nikon 200 to 500mm lens focus in most situations...

Just about managed to grab this 2 shot combo with a minute to spare as camera had been attached to scope from previous night and was running off my flat frames between 5.30am and the start of the pass at 6.32am. At the moment the flats programme finished my iPhone was dinging away with a 1 min ISS pass warning!
Managed to wake up one morning to catch a sunrise in Maui. Totally worth it.

Managed to capture this little fella testing out his wings and jumping off the ground before he scuttled off after Mum and Dad.... had more shits of the jump but the focus did not keep up despite using 1/1200 on shutter priority.....
Self portrait for coming school project.
The project is on my personal experiences, based on misery, distress, hopelessness and escapism.
The smeared mascara is a little cliche i admit, but im currently looking at concepts and symbolism.
The portraits im working on will become apart of larger, distressed, collagey, painty pieces
(because I don't take photography i can not hand it in like this - yes i would adore to do a photography degree but i have never studied it before and have no portfolio. I tried to get on to a course with my landscape and nature work but it's a fine art degree and my landscapes and nature 'doesn't have any concept or meaning..just asthetically pleasing' - they want conceptual art.)
I didn't want to do any post work to 'beautify' this piece; with other portrait i would be tempted to take out lumps and bump, stray hairs etc, but here i wanted ugly, misery is ugly, misery is never glamourous. the glorification of depression is something awful.
(hand held self portrait, window light, compact camera, michelle blacks BW essence)
thank you for viewing, as im unconfident with portraits i'd really appreciate your feedback xoxo
Managed to get a few more shots of the new North Rider brand today, introduced the previous day by East Yorkshire. All the routes have many picturesque hamlets, villages and vast amounts of countryside just wanting to be photographed! I urge anyone to do it. Big thanks to Scott Poole too for helping with some locations!
Managed to get a few cards with good Datsun content, and the silver 100A FII looks good here.
The VW van on the right looks a little battle-scarred.
The shop Griffths and Griffiths looks like a wonderful place, there's a bit about it here on FB: www.facebook.com/PhotographsoldandnewofNewtownPowys/photo... The stickers (Corgi?) in the window suggests they also sold toys, I can imagine the wonderful stuff they'd have had on display at the time.
It's still a newsagents, though it doesn't appear to have the same charm: goo.gl/maps/sCpjGEY7q5y5mEYD6 Interesting to see that Evans is still going on the corner.
Looks like we're a bit further up the road from the previous Newtown cards I've previously uploaded (see below).

Sometimes when walking in the hills in Argyll you see the strangest things! During my walk above Lock Eck a few days ago I saw this nice surprise ... a Christmas tree!
In college, we were taught how to apply fake eye lashes which I found quite difficult. I managed to complete the task with the help of my tutor Lizzy and it ended in a messy way with me as I had to re-apply the glue around six times before I finally set the eye lashes close enough to the natural eye lash line to not look un-real. To learn from mistakes, we must trial and error so I purchased some fake eye lashes which I applied on myself in my free time to practice. When I had enhanced my technique of applying the lashes, being able to do them quicker and in a less messy way I began applying them on myself and on friends before a night out.
I've managed to shed much of my past and I'm not very sentimental and where I am it's more for objects and things and shared days rather than for people directly. But I always draw back a tear on December 4th as that is when my father was born and I'm not too bothered what the others think or would have thought but of all the family he was the one I like to call a true friend. So I do worry at times and fret at what he would have thought of me changing myself into Jojo. I'm sure he would have stood by me as he was a cultured broadminded man who had a lot of gay friends who shared his interest in the arts. He was also a huge fan of sculptor and stone carver Eric Gill whose forward thinking utopian permissive lifestyle has been discredited as not just inappropriate but highly immoral by today's rules. Of course I don't do anything illegal and definately nothing wicked but who knows how I will be judged in fifty-years-time if I'm still around lol. I did speak to a girl called Marcia who used to run the town's bookshop and got to know him well and when I first approached her as Jojo I said I didn't think my father would approve. Without hesitation she took the opposite view and said in her own way that he would be proud as she thought I was delightful. Yes once again it is women who give me the support I need and I do feel they've taken me under their wing so I'm not alone.
Southall Memories - a series of photographs from the Southall / Greenford area that I grew up in, back in the 1970s/80s.
After the demise of the RTs from Southall in 1978, a welcome fleet of Routemasters arrived and operated Route 105 until 1982. I managed to capture Leyland engined RM1533 (533 CLT) on film with just a month or so left in service. I believe these Leyland engined RMs were the first to be withdrawn en-masse, after just a handful of fire damaged caualties, starting around 1982-83. Many RMs survived well into the 1990s.
RM1533 (533 CLT) is seen here on a Southall (Havelock Estate) service, approaching the stop in Somerset Road - opposite my home street of Rutland Road.
Bus History
RM 1533 (533 CLT)
2/63 new to Aldenham
3/63 into service at NX (New Cross)
9/63 transferred to PM (Peckham)
63-66 worked from PM
12/67 into store at PM
10/82 withdrawn at HW (Southall)
12/82 sold to Booth (Rotherham) and scrapped

Thanks to Ian's Bus Stop for the above information.
Interestingly, according to Ian Armstrong's site (link below), the 105 had gone crew Metro on 4/9/1982, but I have this RM photo in my log for 20/10/1982, so perhaps there were a few RM stragglers hanging on - I can't remember now 30+ years later!

More test shots from the new lens, so happy with it :-)
From Hubble in narrowband red, mediumband green and blue filters. I did not enhance the saturation for this image; the filter choices manage to separate the colors on their own with little processing effort required.
It is important to note that no one has seen a clear image of Neptune directly without the aid of a camera and various processing techniques. With that in mind, I have tried to modify my Hubble processing to match more closely with the Voyager 2 data. I have noted that the blue channel must be more emphasized, and the green channel less emphasized to approach what others have reported seeing regarding the human-perceived color of the planet. I have relied on the advice of H. B. Hammel and Björn Jónsson from short Twitter exchanges. Here and here.
I would guess that this is more saturated than Neptune may appear to a human eye, but it's hard for me to say. Based on this and the Voyager 2 data, I am intrigued by the possibility that the pinkish limb may be visible to a human eye, if a human was ever to travel there and bear intimate witness to such an elusive majesty.
The high clouds in the northern hemisphere have been evolving for the past few years. Previously, bright cloud formations have been noted nearer to the equator. They are large enough and bright enough that amateur astronomers have also been recording them and collaborating with pros. (Hat tip Björn Jónsson)
The easiest way to see the changes documented that I know if is via the OPAL website, by loading the various Neptune tables. archive.stsci.edu/prepds/opal/

A few more pics from the Harrison Day Trip. We managed to fit a lot in including Kilby, Green Point, several round trips through Chilliwack, (we were lost) and finally meandering home along zero avenue. Some beautiful scenery but I think the highlights of the trip were the mother bear and cub, and the American dipper spotted at Green point. Days like this make me stop and realize what a beautiful part of the world we live in and what a privilege it is to live here.
Fraser River near Kilby. Lighting and colours haven't been edited, it really was that dramatic.
Finally managed to get up close to some Hornets! There were approx 4 to 6 Hornets feeding on the Ivy, so i would imagine a nest to be in the area?
Panasonic FZ50 with Raynox 150 used, also home made Pringles diffuser.
Serena rocks her shark costume to the annual Halloween Bash. She dances sugar crazed into the night and enjoy's the fabulous light display and treats!
I manage to get close to the nearest window as sniper round smashes through the glass and collide with the barrel of petrol. In less than a second the barrel explodes and the others follow its lead soon after. The building supports are taken out in the first wave of explosions causing the building to come toppling down towards me. Desperately I pull out my grapple and launch it at the nearest building and I narrowly manage to get the claw to attach. With that I start to swing away from the collapsing structure, but things are never that simple. As I'm midswing I have my back turned to the building and a large piece of debris collide with me causing me to lose my grip. Amatuer you know better than that.
Desperately I try to reach for my backup grapple gun but it's too late. I hit the ground hard. Even with several layers of armour plating I break a few bones from the impact. From what I can tell I've broken my right arm and probably cracked a few ribs, at least my legs are in tact. Before I can lift myself off the ground though a smaller piece of debris hits me and causes me to blackout. I'm not sure how much time passes before I regain consciousness but the fires around me are still burning fiercly and the lack of any emergency services tells me it's not long.
With my torso trapped beneath the debris I can't manually signal the batmobile or batwing or get word out to Alfred as the comm system always needs a quick reboot after being in a black spot for so long. All I can hope is that with the building destroyed that my jammers were destroyed as well so my vitals will be trasmitting to the cave. Alfred knows the protocol. He's not to leave the cave until I report in safely. The appearance of just my vitals but not comms should be enough to alert him.
As I wait for Tim to arrive I manage to wrestle my left arm out from beneath the wreckage that had it trapped and reactivate my comms.
"Alfred....."
"Master Bruce! Are you alright sir? When I saw your vitals but nothing on your comm I feared the worst!"
"I'm fine Alfred, just a few broken bones. I need you to send Robin to my location immediately."
"He's already on his way. Wait, Broken bones? What happened sir?"
"There was an explosion......it took down the whole warehouse."
"Who could ha........do.........is.........mas...........bru....."
"Alfred you're breaking up."
"Master Bruce? Can yo.........ar...........me......."
Alfred's voice is quickly drowned out by the sound of static. That can mean only thing. Comms are being blocked. Guess my gunman is still here, and given my current condition I'm in no position to defend myself trapped beneath this debris let alone with my injuries as well. Desperately I place my left arm beneath the rubble and try to force it off me to no avail. It's too heavy to lift with one arm. The gunman is getting closer to my location as the static on my comms intensifies. With myself unable to move I'm a sitting duck. I've got only one choice and that's my taser gauntlets. These things have helped me a lot in the past, let's hope today will be no exception.
I decativate my comms to remove the static blaring my ears and allow myself to focus. I only get one shot with this so I need to make sure it hits. As I activate the necessary controls for me to my fire the taser in my gauntlet I see the shadow of a figure in the corner of my eye. He's close and he sees me. I let the figure come closer. When he's closer I'll have a better shot and it means that I get to see who the figure is before I tase them. Last thing I want is to tase Tim. Nothing screams thanks for the help than getting shocked by 26 watts of electricity.
The figure takes its time to approach me, no doubt checking for any traps I may have managed to set but after two minutes they come in to view. They're not Tim. I don't know who they are as they're wearing what appears to be an armoured suit with a mask covering their face. In their right hand they're carrying a pistol similar to the one I picked up in the warehouse before it exploded. So he's the one behind this. After further surveillance of the area surrounding me the figure put his pistol away clearly feeling at ease. I notice the handles of two katannas sticking out from behind the figure so I'd imagine he's more than just simply a good shot.
Based off the figures shape I suspect that the one wearing that suit is male and he doesn't walk so much as marches indicating he has some military quality to him. He must be the one behind Mayor March's murder. It all fits the bill. He's demonstrated he's a good shot having maanged to hit the barrel closest to me in the warehouse from a considerable distance, assuming he wasn't on the warehouse I tried to grapple to, matching the skill needed to perfectly kill two trained gunmen with only one shot to the head each. I don't know many other people who are that skilled with a firearm beyond Floyd Lawton but he's currently in Waller's clutches so it can't be him either. Unless of course he's suddenly taken an interest in sword play which I highly doubt. Besides Lawton's too much of an egotist to kill whilst wearing a mask. He'd want me to know it was him that brought me down so it's clearly not him.
Slade Wilson and Elliot Cadwell are both valid candidates for who this masked assailant could be, but after my encounters with both of them they'd want me to know it was them as they deliver the killing shot. Other than that I can't think of anyone else who fits the criteria needed to be this assailant. As my attempts to deduce this figures identity fail he places on of his legs on the debris that has me trapped and presses down on it.
"I'm dissappointed. After how much they spoke about you I would have thought you'd put up more of a fight."
The assailants voice is very clearly that of a male so my assumption was correct, though I've never heard the voice before thus adding to the belief that it's none of my three main candidates.
"Sorry to dissapoint."
I sieze the moment and clench my fist firing my taser at him. I manage to land a direct hit on him and for a few moments he's over come by the shock. It doesn't last long though as he grabs hold of the tasers cables and rips them off his torso before cutting the cables with one of his katannas.
"Not bad. I didn't see that coming. What else you got up your sleeve?"
I have a single batarang hidden up my sleeve that I can use but once I use that I'm defenceless without access to my belt so I'm reluctant to use it.
"Lift this thing off and you'll find out."
Honestly I'm not sure it makes any difference whether this debris is on top of me or not at this moment. My right arm's broken and the cracked ribs I suspect that I have are only going to slow me down if anything.
"It's tempting, but I think I prefer you like this. Under my heel where you belong."
He presses down harder on the rubble and I'm hit a by a jolt of pain. Definitely have some cracked ribs. The pain is intense and I want to let out a cry of pain but I know that's what he wants so I grit my teeth. Even though I'm not saying anything he can see that I'm in great pain.
"Stubborn one aren't you?"
He reaches for his second katanna and places them both in a scissors group with my head in the middle. Come on Tim I need you.
"I would love to just end it here and now."
Would love to implies he's not going to kill me at this moment. Not sure why not he's not going for the kill which has me even more worried than my current situation. What is he planning?
"But in order for me to ascend I must best you in combat."
"Best me in combat?"
"That is the will of the master. For me to ascend you must fall by my blade. A warriors death."
"Ascend to what?"
"To take my rightful place as...."
"Get away from him!"
On cue Tim drops out of the sky and forces his feet into the assailants torso sending him back. Tim quickly takes a defensive stance with his bo staff in hand as the assailant quickly regains his footing and takes an offensive stance with a katanna in each hand.
"A son......"
The tone in the assailants voice seems to have changed slightly. It almost sounds like he's worried by Tim's presence. Maybe he's not as skilled as I thought, why else would he be worried by Tim's presence unless he felt he lacked the skills to best him. No sooner does the thought cross my mind that the assailant reaches for his pistol holster.
"Robin look out!"
But Tim's seen it and places a small charge on the debris above me before jumping behind cover. The assailant opens fire on Tim's location blindly firing desperately trying to hit him. What happened to those firearm skills? I've crossed paths with Slade, Cadwell and Lawton before but they've never acted like this before, nor have they ever had such terrible aim. The assailant's clip quickly empties from all his blind firing and Tim takes the opportunity to strike hitting him with a shuriken. With the assailant briefly distracted Tim races over to me and detonates the charge on the rubble that's keeping me pinned, freeing me. We quickly run to where Tim was taking cover and the assailant begins firing on us again. He's fast at reloading I'll give him that. But unfortunately for him Tim's one step ahead of him.
"Pen-7 now!"
With that the Batwing takes a hovering position in front of the assailant and begins firing on his position. Those had better be the riot supressor rounds Alfred. I want answers from this guy.
"You alright?"
"Nothing that can't be fixed."
"Who is this guy?"
"That's what I want to find out."
We look out from behind the cover as the assailant throws down a smoke pellet and disappears. Alfred has the Batwing search the nearby area for him but I know he's jumped in the water, it's the best way to avoid pursuit by a light aircraft as beneath the waves you're all but invisible to cameras.
"We need to get after him he needs to pay for...ARGH!"
"Batman!"
"I'm fine Robin."
"No you're not. Your right arm is broken."
"It's fine.
"Trust me it's not. I'm taking you back to the cave. You're in no shape to go after him."
"We can't let him get away like this. Not after what he did to Lincoln."
"We won't Bruce. I promise. There'll be another night."

Managed to squeeze one more overseas trip out of 2016, and I'm heading to San Francisco to talk to Google. Back Friday. Don't do anything I wouldn't do, Australia.
I managed to get the Wasp to walk onto the end of a wide stick so I could get a better angle and change the background.
As all my macro shots are handheld, if the bug is willing to co-operate, it's not too hard to move it around a bit to get the angle and background the way I want... and that's a big IF :P
Focus stacked using Zerene.
Managed to get my dodgy looking orb tool through customs. To celebrate I decided to have a mooch up to a high point to get a better view of an immense thunder storm that was looming over Son Bou. Grabbed a cheeky hour so as not to incur the wrath of Mrs control.
Straight out of the camera.
Nice 1.
Managed to calm Jack down for a brief moment using a touch of bribery.

The artist managed to impose the very feeling the work was titled with, euphoria, but rather healthy one, reaching its peak through the mental process.
After his session with “Euphoria” Stern was receiving the creator and maybe first time in years felt butterflies in his stomach.
When the patient came in Stern was pleasantly surprised to see a youthful looking man who gave his birth date adding ten years more. He greeted doctor Stern who asked to call him Mike and how he spends hours looking at the artist’s paintings.
“I never new art could be so powerful,” said Stern and the artist smiled with the edge of his lips.
“Those are my earlier pieces. Thank you.”
“Interesting, do you paint now?” asked Stern.
“Of course,” responded the man and invited Stern to come over to his studio.
The session continued. Only once did the artist smile when he heard the doctor quoting Marcus Aurelius in Latin.
