Making Spaces aims to develop a national strategy to sustainably integrate making into schools across the country. The Bubbler at Madison Public Library was excited to be a Midwest hub in partnership with Madison Metropolitan School District to create making & learning spaces in our schools.
As a hub, the Bubbler provided our schools with development and support to help jumpstart and sustain maker education in classrooms. This included facilitating professional development around making & learning, connecting schools & community makers to build a mindset & goals for making spaces, and successfully launching crowd sourcing campaigns for schools to raise funds and support.

Hey everyone...it seems time and tide are running out for our pristine shores...tar balls have now began washing ashore at the local beach and apparently heavier concentrations of crude may soon follow...we knew this dreaded day would come but it's impossible to emotionally prepare for this heartbreaking reality...the only solace at times is to view and review scenes like these from the past few weeks and cling to the beauty of it all...
I do hope you will have a very pleasant weekend...I'll be making a transition starting tomorrow afternoon...my Nikon D40 developed problems on the trail last Sunday and the next captures I take will be with my new Nikon D5000, purchased this afternoon...I chose it for the good reviews of low light results and other improvements over the D40...we'll see how it goes!
