In May of 2017, I did something that I wasn't sure if I would ever do. Get a makeover. It took a lot of planning for me to organise a visit to Boys Will Be Girls and the incredibly talented Cindy Conti. I was very nervous but she quickly settled me in. I was worried that I would look the same as I would if I had done my make-up. A man trying his best to look like the woman inside himself. I can honestly say right now that I was absolutely blown away by the results! I admit that it took a lot of effort not to burst into tears!
This was the first photograph that she took.

Title: Canvas Makeover
Year: 2015
Medium: Makeup
Size: 12” x 16”
Description:
I covered this self-stretched canvas with an abstract image created entirely of nail polish and eye-shadow. In part, I was drawn to the textures I could create. It is also a piece about gender, creating assertive new meanings out of decorative materials designed to satisfy the male gaze.
Got 76097. Redid the figs from 76097.
Cheetah: new hair, new legs. Not much here, just wanted to change her too.
Lex: I hate that head they always use for him, so I changed that. Also added some bright green for fun.
Batman: Purple gloves, fancy legs. Scott Synder all the way!
Firestorm: I just wanted to try to do a different head with this hair... I think this is pretty much a perfect head option I found here.
Wonder Woman: Made a nice silver classic version with the new skirt.
This past week, I got to meet with Monica Prata and get a makeover, including help with my makeup and finding a new wig! I'm hoping to sneak in some more time this weekend to try and re-create what I learned :).

I started with this Bratz candelabrum, which was pretty cool in itself. But I decided I wanted a different look. I repainted it and made some candle flames with fabric paint. It's for my Dumbledore's office diorama, a slooow process. My printer pooped out so I can't finish it. One of these days!
Do you remember Poring? I gave her a makeover (new makeup, eyes & nose) so it's time to introduce her again ^_^ I hope you like her!
$4 thrift store dollhouse, after being made over by me this month
Egg carton bricks and shingles
Real grout
New windows from Ebay or Amazon (can't remember)
Shutters salvaged from another thrifted dollhouse
Familiar faces have had recent make overs. A pair of rebuilt SD75i's now classified as SD75iACC pass a renovated Woodstock station, now showcasing it's original brick colour.

Sarah was my first Blythe and my first custom blythe. She was the victim of my inexperience and I think she deserved a better look, so here she is. I hope you like the new change.
This is my second "look" that was created by Claire. This time the dress was one of AMC's. Normally I go for full skirts but this ensemble was very comfortable to wear.
One of these days I am going to have to try going out in public.
