Rie is home from her makeover!!!! I'm so in love with her new faceup ♡♡♡ She looks younger now, maybe because I used a different face muse for her this time!
Actually, it's not just her faceup that changed! Her eyes are technically the same but I used to use the lighter half of her custom ED eyes; now she's using the dark half, so it's as if she has new eyes too. XD It's also the first time I've tried this hair color on her. She was supposed to have light ash brown hair, which also went well with her old faceup, but now, she can wear darker browns! Restyling this wig was one of my best doll decisions ever *shot*
The girls at bare Minerals in Glasgow had phoned me to say they had some new products that they thought I should try and to come in for a Makeover. That was several weeks ago, so last week i took them up on that offer.
It turned out that the day i had chosen was pretty hopeless weather wise. However I spent a god two hours with them having a good chat and getting many excellent tips.
What you see is the result of their efforts and I was quite pleased with it.
Then had some time window shopping in the Mall.

built for the Return of Classic Pirates Contest on Eurobricks.
I didn't have 6271 growing up, but I did acquire it in a used lot in 2010, so it's really one of my oldest Pirate sets at this point, and first classic ship I got since my Cross Bone Clipper in 1998. I just knew I had to update it.
This is a Steffie faced Barbie that I started customizing two years ago with a re-root and partial changes to her eyes by making them look brighter and adding more lash details. And I have now finally thatched her hair part. I had also started some face paint touch ups and finally finished them as I couldn't decide on what color lips I wanted to give her, plus I've added some pink blush and previously the lips and cheeks had looked like a faded coral color. So I'm really happy with her face and hair now which I can say is finished. When I first did the re-root, the blue hair was inspired by her eyes and the brunette part line was to represent her original hair color and I love how it turned out. Now I'd like to get her or make her a new outfit. And this is sometimes how I like to make over my dolls, by doing things bit by bit. Then the changes make the doll feel different as she progresses.

So I went to visit my friend Kate this week and she gave me a makeover. She spent a lot of time on it so I thought I would post a pic, what do you think?
I am getting my own little makeover/transformation business going and I finally have cards made up with my name on them so that feels good. I was going to frame the first bill ($100) I made in my new business but I used some of it to buy cards and the rest to buy.....gas! you guessed it.
