De Jong and van Kampen performed together during the e-culture fair on 23-10-2003 in Paradiso, Amsterdam, at okno public01 in Brussels on 26-5-2006, and at piksel06 in Bergen, Norway on 05-10-2006.
They seek to investigate possible affects for networked playing using an ever evolving collection of software designed to compose musical meaning on the fly. Their computers' network interfaces are used for email but also to have patterns and audio processes interrelate, causing a highly diverse field of small particles, evolving textures as well as swift and drastic movements.

Ils cherchent à examiner les émotions possibles pour les performances en réseau en utilisant une collection de logiciels (qui évolue sans cesse)

Déplacements" consists of 24 computer case fans forming a rectangle. Each fan is a "pixel", its number of revolutions and the intensity of the light of its LED varies according to the level of gray corresponding to the pixel of reference. This screen of fans is controlled by a computer simulating a cellular automata entitled "The game of life" (created by John Horton Conway in 1970). It is a mathematical model where each fan is a cell. "Déplacements" is a hijack of this object, a component of the computer becoming image. It is not a question of a physical "displacement" but of a movement, a flow.
Florian Cramer is the Course Director of Piet Zwart Institute (Rotterdam/Netherlands) Media Design. He integrates software art and copyleft culture in the students courses. He's a writer from Berlin who has published in the area of code poetry, comparative studies in the literature and the arts, modernism, text theory, literature and computing.

make art is an international festival dedicated to the integration
of free/libre and open source software (FLOSS) in digital arts.
The second edition of make art takes place in Poitiers (France),
from the 3rd to the 8th of April 2007.
make art offers performances, exhibitions, lectures and workshops,
focused on the blurred line between art and software programming.
The event is dedicated to artists who create their own tools, and
apply the same rules to art as to free software development.

make art constitutes a tool for reflecting on the propagation of free software in artistic creation and we want it to be a view onto the social, political and economic myths and realities linked to this phenomenon.

The "Greetings From Beaumont" mural is painted on the side of the Old Towne Plaza shopping center, which was built in 1958. It includes several vignettes of Beaumont things, including the Spindletop Derrick at the Gladys City Boomtown Museum, The World's Largest Working Fire Hydrant, and the boardwalk at Cattail Marsh.
Create more, and tell your story as you go. (I rejigged the colours on this - do you prefer this or the orange one from before?) Keep sharing stuff, and don't stop.

The 5th Annual Beaumont Mural Festival was held March 21st and 22nd. I went on the 21st, to the main area of the Civic Center and Riverfront Park, as well as a couple of the other locations that murals were being painted.

This is recent sampling from the second "Drawing Prompts Randomizer" I made using Numbers.
This one uses prompts Carson Ellis made for the Quarantine Drawing Club on IG last year. Her prompts are so evocative and drawable.
I've also included 3 of her other Quarantine Art Club suggestions from last year.
This has helped so much with art block. Not over the hump yet, but steadily moving forward.

The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau has sponsored the painting of several murals in the city, as well as promoting free bicycle rentals and placing a geocaching GeoTour in various interesting and historic places.

chdh est une performance hybride live, proposant une symbiose entre le son et l'image. Entre le minimalisme et l'industriel, chdh crée un univers unique, froid mais organique.
Grâce à l'utilisation d'algorithmes mathématiques et de modélisations physiques, chdh apporte une nouvelle vision de l'utilisation d'outils informatiques dans la création musicale. L'utilisation d'objets audiovisuels, ayant une composante sonore et une composante vidéo pilotées par les mêmes paramètres de contrôle autorise une gestion efficace des relations entre les deux médiums.
Ce projet évoque un monde virtuel, constitué de créatures abstraites plus ou moins autonomes. L'esthétique de la vidéo et du son est minimaliste : sinus, diracs et bruits interagissent avec des cubes, des sphères et d'autres formes primitives en 3D dans un environnement visuel noir et blanc.
Le rôle de chdh en concert est de jouer avec le mouvement de ces objets, afin de les faire vivre et réagir. Deux musiciens manipulent les instruments en utilisant une couche abstraite, representation informatique de l'objet audiovisuel. Chaque algorithme crée alors des données utilisées pour la synthèse de la vidéo et le la synthèse du son, créant une forte cohésion dans la performance.
