It always makes me sad when a gallery doesn't allow the taking of photos. I do know about flash and how it damages the paint but what can be wrong with some personal snaps? They will never be as good as the guide which, if you are a lover of the art, you will buy on top of the ticket.
This is the only snap I got at the Doria Pamphili in Rome.
I like this photo, because it makes me think of super-heroes, watching over those who they were sworn to protect. When the girls go outside to play, this is exactly how I see Belle and Duke - always near, keeping a watchful eye over everything.
These wild pansies pop up in the back yard each year, and I can capture them just about in any light. Today, I decided to make a water color from one of the prints.
The first thing that hit me when I went into the city of Melbourne was the freedom of expression.I was amazed to see the way people freely expressed themselves, and how not everyone shunned them for it. I noticed expression is a way of life here and people feed on it. Foe me it was something new, sometime it is refreshing and sometimes its over powering. It makes you understand how different and unique people really are.
