Handheld from the bottom of a rushing creek. I went in thinking the shot would be perfect from up above on the bridge behind me but after some exploring...
It's the unintended shot that makes my day.
There aren't many situations that make me rush these days - but this would be one.
The alcohol licensing laws of the United Kingdom regulate the sale and consumption of alcohol.
Some long-standing traditions (indeed, legal requirements) have disappeared as a consequence. First, "permitted hours" gained a new meaning. Until the 2003 Act came into force on 24 November 2005, permitted hours were a standard legal constraint: for example, serving alcohol after 23:00 meant that a licensing extension had to exist—either permanent (as for nightclubs, for example), or by special application from the licensee concerned for a particular occasion. There was also a customary general derogation permitting a modest extension on particular dates, such as New Year's Eve and some other Public Holidays. Licensees did not need to apply for these and could take advantage of them if they wished without any formality. Now, permitted hours are theoretically continuous: it is possible for a premises licence to be held which allows 24-hour opening, and indeed some do exist.
Most licensed premises do not go this far, but many applied for licences in 2005 that allowed them longer opening hours than before. However, as in the past, there is no obligation for licensees to use all the time permitted to them. Premises that still close (for commercial reasons) at 23:00 during most of the week may well have licences permitting them to remain open longer, perhaps for several hours. Staying open after 23:00 on the spur of the moment is therefore legal at such premises if the licensee decides to do so. The service of alcohol must still cease when the licence closing time arrives. Only the holder of the comparatively rare true "24-hour" licence has complete freedom in this respect.

Practice Makes Perfect - A couple weeks ago, I observed a cooperative immature Red-tailed Hawk on a family hike. I didn't get the shots I wanted that day, but figured I'd try again.
My buddy and I were treated to almost an hour of great passes by this hawk during a windy morning as it practiced hunting and chased a group of Turkey Vultures around. Was a great opportunity to practice bird in flight (BIF) techniques!

Uploading in memory of my dear Flickr friend chauvin.bill who sadly passed away at the end of June. I noticed he hadn't uploaded a new photo for a while & found out the sad news last week when a mutual contact kindly uploaded a photo to let Bill's friends know. In the Streets of Pushkar, I stopped by to have a tea from this tea shop. This tea maker informed that the milk in his shop was over to make the tea. So he asked his assistant to get some milk from the store. As I was waiting to have some tea, this Rajasthani tea maker was impatiently waiting for his assistant to be back with the milk and thats when I decide to click this picture.
The windmill is quite symbolic; considered to be a universal symbol of life, resilience,self-sufficiency,and perseverance in a harsh environment. It is important to recognize that no matter what happens in life you can overcome any problem. Life is composed of ups and downs. Learning to get through the downs is key to being successful. Without obstacles,difficulty,struggles,and challenges, life wouldn't make much sense. You become stronger, more compassionate, and more grateful when you strongly believe in your capacity to persevere and rebuild again.

The comma has distinctively ragged wing edges, which help to camouflage it - at rest, it looks just like a dead leaf! It prefers woodland edges, but can be spotted feeding on fallen fruit in gardens.
