When I took these photos, I didn't notice the little ladybeetle crawling on the petals. These were taken in another neighbour's garden and she had beautiful dahlias growing in all colours. These are not crops and are SOOC only resized in photoshop. They were taken with my 75-300 mm lens and the 36 mm Kenko macro extension tube.

This butterfly was sitting on the edge of the chair that I sit my washing basket on, so I got a chance to capture this beauty before t flew off

(Since it is October, and the month of colored leaves and Halloween - I thought I'd post a whimsical image for this weeks theme. The monster stands 1-1/2 inches tall from the top of his little lacquered head to the tips of his shiny shoes.)

Fish and sea shells sit on my bathroom windowsill. The hand carved fish was purchased in Florida many years ago, and Doc and I harvested the shells from the islands of Sanibel and Captiva while visiting there one winter.

Macro Mondays theme is Hobby

This is bread in the making before it is going in the oven, I'm peeking in to see if it has grown

I love all home made

My title is actually something that we sometimes don't want to take in

A hobby for me doesn't neccessarily need to be fun for others to watch

Like when I'm deep diving into Lightroom

I thought it was only in my house that was something others in the house hated

But I've realised that it is pretty common. One guy in my photoclub said his wife hated when the laptop came on his lap, then he deep dived into his world and she wouldn't get anything sensible out of him as long as he was occupied with it.

And that is of course what we do with our hobbies

We deep dive

Sometimes we use hobbies as excuses to get away from our everyday life

I know I did

Maybe it is time to think a bit when we do that

Questioning ourselves

What am I escaping from

And try to solve it

It might be a signal of something that should be dealt with, but of course not neccessarily

It's all in the balance isn't it

Now I'm not deep diving for hours, things have changed, luckily for me

LIfe sure is interesting if we just dare deep dive

That's a "hobby" I will never stop with, but I found it difficult to take a macroshot of my life, lol

So it became a bread dough

And yes it tasted heavenly, if I may say so of my own "work"

HMM 2 u all!
