A Tribute Story Series # 11 | A Mother's Love
***
There are times only when a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all our fears.
There are times when only a Mother's Love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we've dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.
There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.
For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above...

Macro Mondays (12.20.10): "Nightmare"
Spiders: Though I don't have a fear of or nightmares about arachnids (I am a boy, after all), according to Google, one of top recurring nightmares amongst children is these creepy crawlies. I personally think this guy is cutealthough I don't care for the beard. :)

Creepy crawlies...The Borneo rainforest is 130 million years old, making it the oldest rainforest in the world. There are about 15,000 species of flowering plants with 3,000 species of trees (267 species are dipterocarps), 221 species of terrestrial mammals and 420 species of resident birds in Borneo. It is the centre of evolution and radiation of many endemic species of plants and animals.

I hear the ticking of the clock
I'm lying here the room's pitch dark
I wonder where you are tonight
No answer on the telephone
And the night goes by so very slow
Oh I hope that it won't end though
Alone
Till now I always got by on my own
I never really cared until I met you
And now it chills me to the bone
How do I get you alone

super closeup of a purple morning glory. the stamen and pollen of this flower looks like it is exiting a wormhole in space and is deformed from the original object intended to be sent through intact.

Pentatomoidea is a superfamily of insects in the Heteroptera suborder of the Hemiptera order, which are commonly referred to as shield bugs or stink bugs. Shield bugs have glands in their thorax between the first and second pair of legs which produce a foul smelling liquid. This liquid is used defensively to deter potential predators and is sometimes released when the bugs are handled carelessly. The distinctive smell comes from aldehydes such as CH3–(CH2)2–CH=CH–CHO, and is chemically similar to pheromones.

Does the road wind up-hill all the way?
Yes, to the very end.
Will the day's journey take the whole long day?
From morn to night, my friend.
But is there for the night a resting-place?
A roof for when the slow dark hours begin.
May not the darkness hide it from my face?
You cannot miss that inn.
Shall I meet other wayfarers at night?
Those who have gone before.
Then must I knock, or call when just in sight?
They will not keep you standing at that door.
Shall I find comfort, travel-sore and weak?
Of labour you shall find the sum.
Will there be beds for me and all who seek?
Yea, beds for all who come.~

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand--This little bee fly was maybe 3-4mm wingspan so I had to use a 25mm Ext Tube on my Canon 100mm f2.8L macro lens.
in early spring a number of blue flowers appear in my area, like this blue scilla, or the lavender blue chionodoxa. they are very small flowers and the blue scilla tend to be close to the ground with the stamen pointing downward. all the makings for a dirty photographer.
