We visited friends in the Drôme Department this weekend and I captured this in their garden. I asked my friend what it is and she said "un Prunus" which - following a quick conflab with Mademoiselle Google - seems to cover a wide range of various fruit trees. It still needs a couple of weeks to start blooming properly but this macro shows the hint of the beauty of the blossom to come
I was messing around this morning with the rather strange combination of a red feather and a cactus plant using my macro lens with a full set of extension tubes attached - this is one of the results
Another wonderful capture of our Orchid, I wanted to get close as possible with my 60mm Macro lens for this image that Say's Aaaah. Hope Y'all like it also.

These are honeysuckle berries that fell on moss. The bushes are full of these berries and the birds are eating them like crazy!! I did not add color to this, they are this bright red!! Have a great week dear friends!
This is the closeup of a ranunculus flower. My OH gave me two bunches yesterday when he returned from a five day jaunt to Corsica with Bob. I couldn't go with them as I'm still not 100% fit following a recent hospital stay. Never mind though as I thoroughly enjoyed five days of 'me' time at home 😊
A macro of the petals of a ranunculus flower. I got extra close using an extension tube. I shone the light from my phone onto the flowerhead to get the shadows
I'm giving myself a break from Flickr for a little while to get my strength back as I'm still under the weather. I'll hopefully see you soon. There's absolutely no need to comment on this photo. :-)
Some bluebells from the garden which I cut and brought inside to try and capture a half-decent photo and also to protect them from the persistent rain we've been having
Macro Mondays - theme: (line) symmetry
width of this frame: 6.5 cm / this spinning peg top is 3.5 cm wide
I seem to have forgotten how to play with spinning tops; it took me quite a while to get it spinning more or less steadily
... but I had fun ; ))
Happy Macro Mondays, everyone!
Bismuth is a rather low boiling metal.
But since there is limit of 1 pic per week , 2 out of 3 are not in the group

Taken in the garden. The pesky snails seem to love eryngium as each year they gravitate towards it and set up residence. It doesn't seem the best choice of plant for them what with all those pointy sharp bits here and there but what do I know, eh? The yellow in the background is yarrow.
Happy Friday! :-)
This tiny little flower was growing all on its lonesome amongst some ground covering plants. I think it's a type of wild garlic/onion
With my camera and 60mm Macro lens, I got as close as I could, not to scare this Teaxs Black Bee away and bee able to capture some images of this amazing Bee.
