I had about two minutes to get about 10 shots of this bee inside a flower this morning. Only two were decent. Here is one.

I'm not sure how these guys actually collect pollen, if they suck it up or lick it, and of course I could be "Way Off". Any info is always appreciated;) My wife Glenda calls these "sweat bees", at least that's what I've heard them called before.

A honey bee in my Garden, Midhurst, West Sussex, notice the pollen sac on it's hind leg - This picture was taken for the "I would rather be in the Lake District" section of Lake District Now

During a recent monsoon storm, I discovered that Sweat Bees (Halictidae) are opportunistic, like exploiting available shelter from the rain. This bee was nestled between lantana leafs (lantana camara). The Northern Sonoran Desert, Summer monsoon, 2015.

I know the title's cheezy...but this little Bee was just sitting on my window sill, basking in the glory of the sun. :) He seemed so happy!!

 

(Now that I think about it...he might also have been dying....I will have to go check on him.)
