This photo of a bee hovering around an onion flower is one of the first images I was ever truly proud of. I love the composition and vibrant colours. This image is the one that got me interested in photography and made me wonder if I could ever make it as a photographer. Bees are quite elegant and graceful when you take the time to observe their behaviour. I am very lucky to have many of them in my garden so there is never any shortage of them for when I need a good subject matter.

A bee dancing on a rossmary plant

Too windy today for any good shots, but managed to get this one hand held shot at around 3-4x magnification, I feel it could have been better if i'd had a little more of the antenna in, but still I am happy because of the conditions.

Early in the morning, I found this bee trying to get into an unopened hibiscus flower without success. As it tried hard to find a way in, it lost a good amount of the pollen it had already collected. Patience is a virtue not always known to the bees.
