This lil guy/gal was dangling above my head right before I noticed it and I almost ran down the street like a cartoon flailing my arms over head and leading a dust cloud like the road runner, haha.

I'm terrified of spiders, but I love photographing them because theyre so interesting...but this picture does make me want to go take a shower

Oh, and hey, it's furry friday!

This is my 1st attempt at shooting macro. It was very challenging to get everything right especially the focusing. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results.

One funny thing happened though. I experienced a post-macro sickness which made me dizzy. Maybe because I did the session just right after having my lunch. Lesson learned!

Thanks to @rizalis for the on-site lesson!

This is the same picture but cropped closer. If you view in one of the larger sizes you should be able to see the feathers. This is a different kind of spider from the one I found feathers on before.

a shot a spider macro!

Testing my macro setting. Spider was hanging outside dining room window so I placed a piece of card inside the window and took the shot from outside. Spider was only 2cm across but managed to get really close for this detailed view. Pity it hadn't been the other way round so I could have gotten the eyes.
