Taken with my new PowerShot S3 IS using its SuperMacro mode.

No contest.

Grabbed a few shots of this spider winding up a whasp that zigged when it should have zagged. It was over in a flash.

These monstrous orbweavers were pretty common in New South Wales and Queensland, and their taxonomic affinities are unclear. They were often found with Ariamnes.

Shoot this by handheld, I personally love the lighting very much

This is a pretty common scene when photographing jumping spiders. A fraction of a second later, the spider has disappeared from the viewfinder which means I will be spending my next few minutes trying to coax her out from inside my lens hood.

Used Raynox DCR-250 conversion lens.

Just a spider I spotted on a walk : )

Pictures of Spiders and webs along the path on our garden one early autumn evening

Unluckily these pictures were my first try, at night with ISO1600..

These little critters are the ones you can see around the house. Probably just a few millimeters at their largest.

Always wanted to take a macro shot of one of them and now I have!

Yowza. This was on one of the toy bins in the back yard.

I managed to piss off this spider with all the paparazzi action. Once again, the Ricoh does a great job at heat of the moment guerilla macro shots.

Taken earlier this summer.
