Looking again through the photos I took last week, I came across this image of those astonishing rudimentary eyes! (Can you make out where all eight will be?)

I found this spider in the garden shed. The picture was created from a focus stack of 79 photos taken with a Schneider f2.8 40mm APO lens reverse mounted and using a flash.
