Another version of Els Josepets, inspired by Raquel Méndez, who was mistaken when giving an invitation to the group Macromanía to my previous photo of this convent.

ENGLISH

The Carmelite convent dels Dolors, also known as “els Josepets” were founded on 1735 thanks to a legacy of Mr. Ramon de Sambassar. While it was in construction, from that date to 1738, the monks lodged themselves in houses of la Geltrú. The church did not finish until 1784.

In 1835 the community left the convent, because the events of Barcelona, and the church underwent the destruction of its furniture. The place was destined to barracks. The Carmelite ones no longer returned never to the convent, and in 1847 the authorization was requested to transfer the hospital. In 1853 the hospital passed to occupy the conventual building, although the church returned to reopen to the cult.

During years 40 and 50 of 20th century it was parochial church while the church of Sant Antoni Abad was recovered. At the moment their dependencies are occupied by a hospital.

Macro mania... there are things going on down there that need to be explained!

Today is day 301 of Project 365

Faded too soon.

ODC-Macro Mania (Card)

Since I'm such a fan of mushrooms I had to buy these informative cards. Each card in the deck of 52 has a different mushroom on it. I got them at my local market. I love things with illustrations on them. I chose this one because it was the most colourful one in the box.

Have a wonderful day friends!!!!!!

Flickr is giving me big problems today hope it gets fixed!! Hardly can log on!!!!

Day 35/365

Week 5 Theme: Macro Mania

Found this little bee having a rest on an old log covered in moss. She's really well camouflaged and I nearly missed her. After a while she'd obviously rested and warmed up and flew off to continue her journey.

Some experiments with my new 100mm macro lens wide open turn out well - others are immediately deleted. I thought the extremely limited focus as well as the colorful bokeh in this one was interesting, so it made the cut...

These tulips are for you:) Thanks for visiting, TGIF!

Ugh! It's snowing AGAIN here.

Hope it's sunny where you are!

Thanks for stopping by and having a look or leaving a comment. I appreciate and look forward to every one!!

Have a great day!

Moving well into the second week of rain, so it's macro mania time.

flaming red taken at Cockermouth, Cumbria,England

these tiny refractions were too cute to be ignored.

=)

Day 34/365

Week 5 Theme: Macro Mania

Merlin was very patient while I tried to get some macro shots of him. I think it's the least he could do after 'helping' me the other day by head-butting my tripod.

Now to give him some of his favourite biscuits as a reward.

This orchid was a gift to me, last summer. This is the second blooming, which makes it so very special. Thanks for visiting. I'm just resting up today:)

Day at the Conservatory, Como Park, St Paul, Minnesota

I'm still in the midst of a very nasty bout of Macro Mania.

I think this is slightly different than the one I posted on the 4th of July. Anyway I liked the angle of this shot so here's another look!

I tried to take a fine foto here but knew Flickr contains much competitive beauty, especially at

www.flickr.com/photos/8993378@N05/3245447549/

where from our so skilled friend~☼♥LilaPop♥☼~I got the last part in my below comment :

"At that very time, the prayer of these two suppliants was heard in the glorious presence of Almighty God.

So Raphael was sent to heal them both: to remove the cataracts from Tobit's yes, so that he might again see God's sunlight; and to marry Raguel's daughter Sarah to Tobit's son Tobiah, and then drive the wicked demon Asmodeus from her. For Tobiah had the right to claim her before any other who might wish to marry her.

In the very moment that Tobit returned from the courtyard to his house, Raguel's daughter Sarah came downstairs from her room."

Tobit 3:16-17

Saint Theresa's Prayer

May today there be peace within.

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content k nowing you are a child of God.

Let His presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.

It is there for each and every one of us.

In the Church, considered as a social organism, the mysteries inevitably degenerate into beliefs.

In the intellectual order, the virtue of humility is nothing more nor less than the power of attention.
