Probably a type of house fly or flesh fly, from Oslo.

Taken with a Raynox DCR-150 macro lens.

European Paper Wasp in 3d crosseyed stereo (cross your eyes to overlap the two images to create a 3rd image in the middle - in 3d!

Same as the (much more detailed) 2d picture except brightened up a bit (and 3d!)

Shot with a Componon-S 50mm enlarging lens reversed on bellows - about 70mm.

I love the perfect pattern on this hoverfly from last summer. I can't wait for warmer weather.

Thick-kneed flower beetle - Ryton Meadows, Warwickshire 05/06/2021

Grasshopper found in our flower pot

In my limited garden was a hoverfly (I think!)

These always fascinate me. You just don't expect to see transparent wings on a butterfly!

Some very dozy insects around this time of the year giving extra precious time to get the shot. Best viewed large.

Part of a recent feeding frenzy in a big bush at the end of our driveway.

I love negative space, and I love context. Something Instagram has very little of. Filling the frame with a super-cropped image is the norm.

How often would you take photos of people with only their heads in shot?

Little fly found at Smedely Park.

Gelechioidea, Lecithoceridae, Torodorinae

これはまぁ、テングってやつだと思います。In Japan, such a living thing is called "Tengu".

Just been out with the dog for a few hours. Bit windy for macro. Got this shot of a fly magnified *5 last week at Brockadale.

Better spend the rest of the day doing jobs.... Yawn!
