One of the first butterflys this spring that allowed me close enough to get a photo. I photographed this rather large Sulphur in Early april 2012

I first spotted them on the banana leaf and by the time I got my camera, they had flown to the chain link fence. The one at the bottom was very still, but alive. I guess it had to be careful. XD
Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly seen in Seven Acre Park Alnwickhill. The warm weather is bringing the butterflies out.

really pleased to photograph this , I have been seeing uploads by other members and wished we had them in Suffolk as I had never seen one
what I think are cabbage white butterfly eggs on a rocket leaf - same ones I photographed here www.flickr.com/photos/lordv/7960696414/ 9 days ago. Thought they looked close to hatching
