This is a massive butterfly that I had seen in my garden before but it didn't stay long enough for me to take a good photo. This time I took my time getting as close as possible. I discovered that if you don't move for long enough the butterfly forgets that you’re there and it starts to relax, take its time and enjoy itself.
Thanks to *christine** I can tell you that this butterfly is a Yellow Admiral.

OK, posted earlier a whiskey product shot, so in case you are not into alcoholic drinks, perhaps a lovely butterfly could satisfy your visit to my page... :)
This butterfly was quite small as you could see that it was resting on a real tiny flower!

Whilst waiting for my friends to catch some fish, this little one, measuring about 2cm from tip to body, landed on my camera bag. Couldn't capture this one with opened wings which would have been lovelier since the opened version will show reflective greenish blue colours.
Specially uploaded for Luaia Nampui [Ner_Luv] who has great love for butterflies.
l'amore è come una farfalla, se la stringi troppo muore se la lasci libera vola via......
love is like a butterfly. if you hold it too tight, it dies. if you leave it free, it flies away..
Finally picked up my camera after more than a week! I missed it so~ T_T
This butterfly(wings and all) is only slightly bigger than my little fingernail.
One of the first butterflys this spring that allowed me close enough to get a photo. I photographed this rather large Sulphur in Early april 2012
