This butterfly was quite small as you could see that it was resting on a real tiny flower!

One of the first butterflys this spring that allowed me close enough to get a photo. I photographed this rather large Sulphur in Early april 2012

The Thoas Swallowtail Butterfly, also called the King Swallowtail, is native to southern United States, Mexico and Central and South America.
It is a large butterfly with a 120-130mm wingspan.

really pleased to photograph this , I have been seeing uploads by other members and wished we had them in Suffolk as I had never seen one
