Zuiko OM 500mm f8 Cat lens with OM 65-116mm extension tubes @116mm extension, mounted on Nikon D750
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.
The Nikon 50mm f/1.8D coupled with an Extension Tube Set is the cheapest way for macro photography that can compete with dedicated macro lens which are at least three times costly.
This is Thorshammer - or Mjölnir, the hammer of Thor, one of the gods of old Nordic mythology.
Not that I believe in that either :-))
A poorly crocus flower, Found this little bloom snapped off in the garden in cold, wet windy weather so bought it inside for a bit of photography. Focus stacked using zerene

Just got some extension tubes to try macro. Dam that is so hard! I'm used to manual focussing but with this you have to be so precise, just rocking ever so slightly backwards and forwards to achieve focus and then trying to be still enough for the shot....of course a tripod would be an idea! However bit hard to position around the plants in the garden, and who wants to bother with that darn thing all the time anyway! Just use that magic delete button over and over until you are lucky enough to get a sharp one!...Maybe an actual macro lens is easier.
