Rainbow lorikeet. 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. There are not many things or creatures more beautiful than nature - in this case a brightly coloured bird.

Not a true macro as the bird is too shy to allow me to get closer.

SOOC……

The Macro Mondays theme for tomorrow, 9/12, is low key so I’m trying pictures with low light using my Iphone’s camera— a bit of a challenge to be sure!

Will also post some later *from* my beloved canon870, a point and shoot that I love using for macros but haven’t used for a while, during my 6 month experimenting with the iPhone that has now gone on for 20 months. (Please don’t hate me for that run-on sentence— grin)

E. When the bug is big, I marvel at how well this Telephoto lens works. It cannot replace a true Macro lens, but with a little editing, the result is very good.

A shot of some of the many varieties of dahlias I planted this year. One of my favorite flowers for their vibrant colors and shape.

Black ant tending aphids on a bush oak leaf. I've only seen these odd looking aphids on bush oaks sometimes covering the acorn cups. Focus stacked using zerene
