Just got some extension tubes to try macro. Dam that is so hard! I'm used to manual focussing but with this you have to be so precise, just rocking ever so slightly backwards and forwards to achieve focus and then trying to be still enough for the shot....of course a tripod would be an idea! However bit hard to position around the plants in the garden, and who wants to bother with that darn thing all the time anyway! Just use that magic delete button over and over until you are lucky enough to get a sharp one!...Maybe an actual macro lens is easier.
They are back, this is the third year that a colony has come back to the same underground nest. I'm trying to capture images of the wasps coming back to the nest with large grubs, but these events are a lot less common.

I recently got a new macro lens, my first true macro. And this weekend was one of the first time I have tried to really use it for macro. It's going to be a fun lens!
