My 1st gen Mac Pro likes to eat graphics cards.
I've already gone through an ATI X1900 and an Nvidia 7300. Both turned glitchy after a year or so of use. Third time's the charm...
UPDATE - This fan is LOUD. The fan stays on the entire time, regardless of temperature. Looks like I got a defect and now I get to deal with ATI and their wonderful RMA process. Damn.
Also, found out my app, Ragdoll KIlla! was rejected from the App Store today, so I'm batting 0 for 2.
This is my Mac pro and the data Replication possibilities of the double DVD drives are endless. It is also housed in loads of Replicated holes.

Stop what you are doing. Back up. Don't have a back up solution? Find one. I cannot stress the value in backing up your digital life. Your photos, your projects, your digital keepsakes that have countless hours of crafting or creating involved should be safe at all times. I finally got a larger external drive that is now acting as my main backup solution. I'm running well over 350GB of photos now and it's only going to keep growing this year (and beyond). Mix in the thousands of photos, the months of music, and probably 100 side projects from over the years, and I know I have a disaster waiting in the wings if I don't have my backups in proper order.
Back up. Someday, you'll thank all of those computer geeks that always nag you about it.
(just got a 1.5TB Western Digital in a external enclosure from Macally that looks like my MacPro! Yes, I bought it for that reason.)

installing a third internal hard drive on a Mac Pro was the simplest procedure I've ever encountered in my 25 years of working with computers. About 5 minutes from start to finish.
Step 4: remove the hard drive bracket by pulling it toward you
The G3 is now dual-booting OS 9.2.2 (minus some extensions, atm) and OS 10.2.8. Functional, though for how long is anyone's guess.
It's amazing to see the G3 Minitower next to a modern Mac Pro... it makes you realize how far Apple's design has advanced over the last 8-10 years.
Also of note: iPhone atop the gigabit Airport Extreme/Mac Mini combo.

4-6GB of RAM and an extra drive for TIme Machine goodness. Busy week ahead setting them up and moving designer's stuff over.
I should figure out some kind of XGrid stuff we could do with them.

This is the 3rd season this new British species has been found in Sussex. Dawn and I found the first ever in the county in 2014 and after finding it again in 2015 we reported it to the SxBRC and to the Sussex County Recorder for Fungi. With his help and the taking of samples, it was confirmed by Kew in May 2015 as the new British species and this year it has appeared again in large numbers at this site.
