88-1671 McDonnell Douglas, Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle 336th FS "Rocketeers" 4th FW, Seymour Johnson AFB, temporarily at RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk. Low flying in LFA7, Mach loop, Wales. _MG_3708

This particular aircraft was totally destroyed following a landing accident at Kandahar Airbase, Afghanistan, on 14 May 2009. The aircraft had just returned from a two-ship sortie. The pilot ejected safely after avoiding a collision with other aircraft waiting to take off. He suffered only minor injuries.
