(*1) In fact, in modern firearms, only 32% of the potential energy given by the propellant is used for the bullet motion. Most of the energy is wasted in hot gases/noises (34%), in barrel heat ( about 30%), in barrel friction (about 2%) or is simply not used (about 1% of the energy is even not released because a small part of the powder didn't go off).
(*2)So what can we do? A longer barrel means that hot gases are going to give more energy to the bullet. We can also use metamaterials wich deflect waves (here shock waves) and give there energy to the next round fired. We can also use Pelletier systems to convert the heat in electricity and then give it to the next bullet fired. This can work only if efficient energy conductor are use. Wich means that the weapon will be heavier, will be expensive, will have a low rate of fire but will be more powerful, acurate and have a longer range, thermal and noise reduction (except if there are no metamaterials around the muzzle or/and if the bullet is supersonic).
But in the ARET 2.0 weapon set, the barrel is replaced by a MHD generator wich converts the motion of the hot gases in electricity which is sent to a a bench of capacitors. These devices will then send an important electric discharge to the coil wich will turn in a magnet and then atract the bullet at high speed. Here, there is no hot gases existing the muzzle. The ARET 2.0 weapons are lighter, more compact and even more powerful than their ARET 1.0 equivalents.
This leads to the meanings of the weapon set name "ARET" which stands for Armes à Récupération de l'Energie des Tirs (shot's energy recovery weapons).

If anyone has any information about this machine, please share it! It might be on wheels, in which case, the man with the hat might be pushing it. If that is a beard, it is a very odd shape. And the man at the left background appears to be looking in the direction in which something might have been propelled. The ladies at the distant right appear to be enjoying a picnic, with callous indifference to the fate of their menfolk, who might be at imminent risk of explosion. And another thing - why is what looks like an exhaust pipe apparently pointing at the gent with the moustache.
Should I refinish this case to look as it originally had? Or should I refinish it to look more update? I'm torn...
Found this at thrift store. It's without motor, pedal, bobbin cover, and spool pins. But it has a case! I'm going to try to restore it over time. I think first I need to get a motor and pedal to see if there's anything missing or broken.

Vending machine culture is a very special culture in Japan. Everywhere you go, you'll sure see one on the street. There're many kind of machine available, from toy to tobacco, beer, to soft drink. Even some of the ramen shop need you to buy food ticket from the machine. One special thing about the softdrink machine is they have hot drink, this is very helpful especially the weather is cold during the winter.
Billy Knights, a retired farmer began designing and creating the Water Gardens in 1970 in his 70th year. The site was a damp meadow which became too wet for cattle to graze. Mr Knights' son jokingly suggested he should have a water garden, which prompted him to draw out plans (on the back of a piece of wallpaper) and he soon had machines digging out the ponds and waterways. He worked on his garden with love and enthusiasm until he died aged 93. For over 20 years the gardens had been open to the public.
Both Billy and his wife Florence loved their gardens and sharing them with others. With this in mind and as a tribute to her parents Coral Hoyos began restoration in April 2002. Having been unattended and closed for five years, the Gardens had become quite derelict. However they were re-opened again in June 2003, with a new car park, refurbished tea-room / gallery, a toilet for disabled people and an 8 acre nature trail. There has since been the addition of a bird hide and a new plant sales area, bamboo grove, scented arbour and rustic roundhouse.
To help you find your way round, the bridges are numbered and when you have walked enough rest on one of the many benches provided, or perhaps visit the tearoom in the south-east corner where you can enjoy a relaxing cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee, soft drinks, ice-creams and delicious home made cakes.
