Back from Hong Kong, with a stopover at Charles de Gaulle.

By far the best macaroons I've tasted: salted caramel, vanilla, Madagascar chocolate, spice and red fruit, orange blossom and liquorice. To die for.

these were more like cake than cookie--dessicated coconut mixed with eggs, flour, and condensed milk then topped with a glacé cherry, then baked until golden brown, chewy and um, cakey.
