In what was a very odd move, a pair of BNSF SD70MACs, still in BN "Executive" colors, lead loaded CSX coal train N910 down into the Thornapple River valley. This train of Powder River coal, which was destined for Consumer's JH Campbell plant in West Olive, would normally run up the Grand Rapids sub to Holland and continue north to West Olive. The details are fuzzy to me now, but I believe the train was re-routed "the long way" via Toledo and Plymouth because of a derailment on the NS near Porter, IN where the GR sub connects to the NS Chicago district. I want to say this was the only time I ever saw this happen. Also, I absolutely loved those cream and green MACs with the classic BNSF logo on the nose!

Yes, My grandma is super cool and has been down for Mac since WAY back in the day. She had the first gen iPod, the first one I ever saw before I'd even heard about it. I remember then thinking... she's onto something. Now she rocks the MacBook Air and iPhone, tho at 90yo, she can barely work the iPhone... it's just too mind blowing for 90 yo, but she gets mad props for going for it.
Mac and his siblings are some of the sweetest most loving cats we have ever had. It seems that something was transferred from their Mom, Holly, whom we rescued several years back. They were born in our kitchen and are the most people oriented “people” we have ever known!
Mac Tonight; the coolest fast food mascot of the 1980's. I planned this as a minifig(ish) scale model, but after seeing my Arrested Development Frozen Banana Stand I saw an opportunity to double the top of the banana to attempt a crescent moon shape. I'm glad I got to get another cool MOC out of the shaping! :)
