AHU (arctic harvester unit) is the latest in cold region mining. Able to slice and crack through the toughest of rocks in the coldest region on island LV426. Suction unit in its orifice automatically draws out rare minerals like unobtanium and tiberium which neatly deposits in a rear housing unit. Build video will be out later ^^
Sculpt progress on the Derelict Corridor - ALIEN 79 - 1:18 scale. Finished sculpting the detail to the corridor floor with some of the "unseen" detail being based off Giger's concept art from the film. The floor is elevated as seen in the film. Still need to add sculpted detail to the wall, top and sides. Working on casting additional bone structures for the opposite wall. Kane, Dallas and Lambert are sculpted figures all works in progress. Builder's Notes: This a MOC of a microscale Sulaco I built a while back but never got around to editing it into a space scene. Those few lines up there are possibly my favourite lines from almost certainly my favourite movie of all time.

Build progress on the Narcissus Shuttle - 1:18 scale - ALIEN 79. Finally an update huh?! It's all about the storage doors...had to do some major updates to the doors after finding some reference material that gave me a better look at the doors details. Rewoked the door handles and the door's interiors. Also it's my first time building door hinges! Hinges work great, although not permanently attached at this time while there's so much more building to be done . The two small tabs venturing off the side of the door has small magnets to hold the door close. More updates to come! #alien #narcissus #shuttle #nostromo #diorama #scratchbuilding #ripley
My little creature shop -a portion of it anyway. I have three versions of the 79 Alien and a version from the Creative Assembly game -Alien: Isolation in the works. 1:18 scale. All parts are castings taken molds of the original sculpts. Made several to test articulation, stability etc. Need a little splash of paint I'd say.....once completed of course. Nostromo Main Air Lock 1:18 scale update - as I begin building the ceiling to the air lock I have noticed it doesn't give way to much of the clear acrylic canopy I originally intended for the piece - so I will have to add the light sources as close to the original production piece as possible. 2 Nano LEDs on each side so far. Just plotting them at this point - more to come and will be the last item to be installed after the piece has been built and painted. #alien #mainairlock #nostromo
Some H.R. Giger inspired work in progress - Frame for the Derelict corridor, 1:18 scale - ALIEN 1979. Gotta build the frame before I hand sculpt the details. Here is my progress so far...15 inches deep, base and walls will be hand sculpted in monster clay/Aves FIXIT.
