A Common Loon (Gavia immer) enjoying a bit of fish for lunch

Caught this gray squirrel nibbling on some berries. I like how he balances himself with his tail over another branch.

I have posted this image to a request from one of my followers. It is a mock-up of 13 of the club members that go to the Photographic group that I go to. I took each individual’s photograph while they were sat on a table in our club room, and then placed them all onto a girder situated above Manchester. The idea for the mock-up was taken from an old 1932 photograph (Lunch Atop A Skyscraper) of 11 workers having lunch sat on a girder high above New York, while working on the Rockefeller Centre. I can’t give credit to the Photographer because he is unknown. You can find the original photo and info here : aboutphotography.blog/blog/story-of-lunch-atop-a-skyscraper I am also on the girder, had to get someone to take my picture. Hope you find it amusing…..!

12. What's for lunch ?

I made the meal especially for the dogs, it's raw meat mixed with rice and carrots. Gaia ate hers when I first took pictures of her alone so there is only one meal left. Harry didn't want to come to the studio first. I think he remembered that last time the wooden window fell on him. No injuries but now he's afraid. He doesn't forget bad stuff ! My dogs have to look at me before they are allowed to eat so it was easy to get their looks.

My Dad took this shot of Extra 712 West at Newberry on August 16, 1986. Lighting was poor but I thought it was pretty neat after looking at it awhile with the Conductor heading for the power with a lunch to go for his crew from Timber Charlie's Restaurant & Bar which is just west of the M-123 crossing that's behind Dad in this shot. 712 and 4418 have 13 cars and will soon be off for the next stop which appears to be Munising Junction by the trains make up. Much work done in Lightroom/Photoshop to bring this Thirty Thursday submission.

I was sat in my van with the door open when this little squirrel came to call so I did the decent thing and gave it a piece of my sandwich.

Wapusk NP in Canada. Wolfs took down the Cariboo in the night. The Arctic fox found it and was not afraid of us, but took ribs for lunch.
