Carolina Wrens, are present in Eastern North America ALL YEAR. I included them in the winter bird section because that is the only time they come to my feeders! During the warmer months, they strictly hunt insects. During winter they are commonly seen eating peanuts.

This Eider has picked up an enormous mussel. How they deal with this, I don't know, he turned away from me and I couldn't see what was going on
Yesterday and today were very sunny days, and in my opinion the first ones in which the sunshine actually felt warm.
Even if the sun is still quite low and the shade covers the garden very early, today I decided to have lunch outside and enjoy a wonderful cold beer!
Isn't it funny how easy we can feel content ;) ♥
