Konstanz/Bodensee GER
Die Imperia ist eine Statue im Hafen von Konstanz am Bodensee, entworfen und ausgeführt von Peter Lenk. Die am 24. April 1993 aufgestellte Figur ist aus Beton gegossen, neun Meter hoch, 18 Tonnen schwer und dreht sich mit Hilfe eines Rundtisches innerhalb von vier Minuten einmal um die eigene Achse.

After a 14 hour flight from Vancouver we used Auckland's excellent public transit from the airport to the city centre Britomart station transit hub.
Its name was taken from a Royal Navy gunship, HMS Britomart, the first English vessel to carry out a detailed survey of the Waitematā Harbour in 1841.
🇬🇧 In front of the sleek facade of Banco do Brasil, two human presences.
One collapsed on the stairs. The other barely visible in the shade.
Between self-service and silent exclusion, social contrast speaks for itself.
A country is also written in its thresholds.
