Today I was looking through the year long scavenger hunt items and decided to shoot another pic from the list.
As I was reading through the list I was kind of intrigued by 'the number 13' and really didn't know what to choose to represent that. Then I remembered that I have a charm bracelet that my gran gave me years ago, it had a few charms on when she gave it to me and during my teens and early twenties I added more and more until it was full. One of the original charms on it is a number 13.
Now the number 13 is associated with bad luck in some countries, some building owners purposely omit floor 13 and go straight from 12 to 14. The number 13 even has a specifically recognized phobia, Triskaidekaphobia, a word which was coined in 1911, but some people think 13 is a lucky number.
Now I have a form of OCD and I hate odd numbers (if I got to the gym or the pool I have to get locker #88, it's an even and symmetrical number, lol. I have to have balance and symmetry, I really don't know why. When I look at my alarm clock I can only get out of bed when the minutes past is an even number (15 and 45 are ok as they are the quarters of an hour which is somehow ok) and my car stereo volume has to be on an even number. I know it probably seems a little strange, but most people who know me would never know about this. And my eternal dilemma is whether the books on my bookcase should be in alphabetical order or height order, but that's another story and I'm digressing.
Anyway despite my loathing of odd numbers I decided to photograph my charm bracelet and focused on the number 13.
Maybe I should start wearing this bracelet again as a kind of therepy, lol.

Unbelieveably, this is the first lottery ticket that I have ever bought - and since I didn't get a single number, it will probably be the last!!! Back to working for a living, then . . . .
Triskaidekaphobia is an irrational fear of the number 13; it is a superstition and related to a specific fear of Friday the 13th, called paraskevidekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia. This happens to be my lucky number being one who was born on the 13th. Some may believe 13 is unlucky. What do you believe?
This pendant, measuring 5/8" wide by 1 7/8" tall (including bail), was made using a square stitch and Delica seed beads. The charm hanging from the bottom consists of 4mm black bicone Swarovski crystals, and red size 11 seed beads on sterling silver headpins, attached with a sterling silver jumpring. The chrome chain measures 17 6/8" long. Please convo me if you would like a length of chain other than what is specified in this listing.
So, what were you doing at age 13?
I wasn't doing anything nearly as fun as racing. The closest I got was go karts in Myrtle Beach.

This was my parent's haunt in the 80s. According to my dad the dance floor was surfaced with stainless steel. Today this old sign is painted over and the club is now(as of 2009) called "The Grand Central"

77, 7 is my favourite number, plus it's lucky. Trying green plus crossed fingers and 7's to complement this tee.
Shot taken for Week #27 of Thing a Week.
The week's theme was Lucky Number, which immediately made me want to take a picture of my tattoo as it does display my lucky number: the Hindu symbol of Aum, which resembles a 30. My version is a Japanese interpretation of it.
It represents my relationship. That and only that made me want to wear it forever.
This proved to be a bit more dificult than I expected due to the location of the tattoo itself, so I had to employ an extra pair of hands from the very very talented Rita ^^
Had to draw a number yesterday at the postoffice.
The picture is not really sharp but its the idea that did it..
Mr. lucifer gave a sign?

On a narrow side street of Rome where space is at a premium, this small clothing store put their display dummies out on the alley. So what is the lucky number for these dummies? Ten, of course.
