A lucky lens and F number?
In some cultures the number 8 is considered lucky. In Chinese culture for example the character for 8 sounds like the character for 'wealth', 'fortune' and 'prosper'. Multiples of 8 are even better. The number 4 is the opposite and the Chinese will try and incorporate 8 wherever they can.
In the Beijing summer Olympics, the opening ceremony began at 8:08 pm on 8/8/08. Since the number 8 is believed to bring good luck, many airlines in Chinese-speaking countries will use combinations of 8 as flight numbers.

A street number in Zagreb upper town. Street name translates to "high street". Shot for the FlickrFirday lucky number theme.
The sign for Washington's State Route 141. On this 29 mile stretch of highway, which runs from Gifford Pinchot National Forest down to the Columbia River, you drive through woods, mountain valleys, pass orchards and pastures, cross a river and pass waterfalls. I've seen elk, deer, bear, bobcat, coyote, hawks, eagles and countless other critters. Horses may be galloping in open fields and weather worn barns and old homesteads give a nod to those who came and worked this land in times past. Driving south, it's hard not to be mesmerized by Mt. Hood standing tall on the horizon and Mt. Adams is there to greet you if you are heading north. On this highway, I feel lucky and blessed to be able to call this place home.
Sometimes numbers are drawn artistically in... football shirts... this one is the England shirt for Kane.... a lucky number... with a lucky owner...

Yes, my lucky number is #17.
This started many years ago, when I was about 14 years old. I used to have season passes to go to the Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse Team's home games.. *I attended almost every single one*.. and I was a huge fan. I used to LOVE Tom Ryan # 17... and Bergee # 66 ,, the goalie. They were my favorites.
So those # s are still my lucky numbers.. They haven't changed or waivered. My favorite numbers.
& That is the reason why!

BTW: I'm sure you all have noticed that I have participated in A LOT of challenges recently. I think it's fun, if I have the time or I am able to participate for that week/subject.
I am solid with my two main challenges, 52 Week & 100x!
However, the other challenges, I will post when I can.. (there is no *you have to post every single week* demands.. so, if & when I can.. I will happily participate in these fun challenges.
- The more challenges I participate in, the more I learn and experience.. and I'm grateful for each one that I'm able to do.

Day 62 of Project 365/2021 (Tuesday, March 2 - 13th consecutive daily photo): I don't know about being lucky--though it can't hurt that the house number incorporates a double 7--but there's certainly a palpable sense of relief upon returning home from a long journey.

Decided to get the tape measure out again.
For FlickrFriday group. This weeks theme "Lucky Number".
After a quick search of why "7" is lucky there was a suggestion that it was the number of 'large' heavenly bodes viewable by the naked eye, or is the most often occurring number of rolling two dice. I've never found it to be any more or less lucky than any of the other numbers that are available.
Three arrows shot. The second and the third one hit the point. Good luck? Bad luck? No. Current efficiency. - There are many mathematically interesting features of numbers and series of numbers. Numerology, on the other hand, is just something that makes me smile
I have kept almost all of the Lotto tickets I have bought over the years specifically to fill a basket with them. I think of it as a "basket of dreams". So when I saw this week's Flickr Friday, I just chuckled. I knew instantly that this was going to be my shot. My basket of dreams and a couple of lucky charms thrown in for good measure... anything to get #LuckyNumber to come up!
