Boletus edulis (English: penny bun, cep, porcino or porcini) is a basidiomycete fungus, and the type species of the genus Boletus. Widely distributed in the Northern Hemisphere across Europe, Asia, and North America, it does not occur naturally in the Southern Hemisphere, although it has been introduced to southern Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. The fungus grows in deciduous and coniferous forests and tree plantations, forming symbiotic ectomycorrhizal associations with living trees by enveloping the tree's underground roots with sheaths of fungal tissue. The fungus produces spore-bearing fruit bodies above ground in summer and autumn. Boletus edulis is an edible mushroom. Porcini are sold fresh in markets in summer and autumn in Central and Southern Europe, and dried or canned at other times of the year, and distributed worldwide to countries where they are not otherwise found. They are eaten and enjoyed raw, sautéed with butter, ground into pasta, in soups, and in many other dishes. They are one of the few mushroom species pickled and sold commercially.

Borowik szlachetny (Boletus edulis) – gatunek grzybów z rodziny borowikowatych. Do popularnych określeń gatunku należą: prawdziwek i borowik jadalny. Występuje w Ameryce Północnej i w Europie. Ponadto został też zawleczony do Nowej Zelandii i południowej Afryki. Aromatyczny grzyb jadalny o szerokich zastosowaniach w kuchniach europejskich.

The flower fields in the west of Holland are at their best in April and May. That’s when the spring bulbs, such as tulips and hyacinths are flowering. The cultivation of flower bulbs for commercial purposes started in Haarlem and the surrounding area about 400 years ago. The area between Haarlem and Leiden eventually became known as 'De bollenstreek' - the bulb district. For many years, a large part of the population earned their living from bulbs, whether in nurseries, export, or in industries that supplied the sector. The town of Lisse regarded itself as the centre of the bulb-growing area, boasted a postmark that declared: "Lisse, the centre of the bulb district". The famous flower exhibition "de Keukenhof" can be found here.

The Netherlands produce approximately nine billion flower bulbs annually. Evenly distributed, this number would allow for almost two flower bulbs for every person on the planet. The tulip remains the most popular and recognizable bulb flower. Most people think of the tulip when they think of bulb flowers. The tulip is followed in popularity by the daffodil, the gladiolus, the lily and the crocus.

150 Years old Churc at Mall Road, Murree - Pakistan.

See old Photo of same Church at:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Murree4.jpg

Murree city is a popular hill station and a summer resort, especially for the residents of Islamabad, and for the cities of the province of Punjab, Pakistan. Named after the Virgin Mary, Murree is also the administrative centre of Murree Tehsil, which is a sub-division of Rawalpindi district and includes the Murree hills.

Murree was founded in 1851 by the Governor of Punjab, Sir Henry Lawrence, and was originally established for the British troops garrisoned on the Afghan frontier as a sanatorium.

The permanent town of Murree was constructed at Sunnybank in 1853. The church was sanctified in May 1857, and the main road, The Mall, was built. The most significant commercial establishments, the Post Office, general merchants with European goods, tailors and a millinery, were established opposite the church. Until 1947, access to the Mall was restricted for non-Europeans.

Due to construction of better road and construction of a great number of Hotels, Resorts and Guest Houses, Murree is as crowded in winters as in Summers. And people from all parts of the country visit this place to enjoy the Snowfall mainly in December and January.

Down low with the leaves again. It's a look and style that's really appealing to me this autumn.

The camera I used doesn't have a monochrome setting, but I'm happy to put these out in colour. Just trying a different perspective and paying with framing.
