Part of my Heavy Equipment Project

Singapore, The Wave

Taken at the same time as this pinhole photo from the AltoidCam.

The never tiring game with the moving thread. Particularly difficult photo to make when using left hand to move the thread ;-) This is where autofocus comes in handy.

Another for the 'abstracts' challenge. This is a macro shot of a section of an old cheese grater! I set up a single light low behind it throw the holes into deep shadow, and used a low angle to capture several rows with the macro lens set to 1:1

A couple baby mallards would run towards me a couple times. Probably thinking I had food, but I'm not sure, haha. Was funny to watch.

Spotted this sculpture in a recent trip in New Orleans. I was walking on the street when I noticed the light at the end of a corridor. Also works out for our photography club monthly assignment "Below the knee"!

Little mushroom found in the forest :-)

Leccinum aurantiacum, is a species of fungus in the genus Leccinum. It is found in forests of Europe, North America and Asia and has a large, characteristically red-capped fruiting body. Leccinum aurantiacum can be found fruiting during summer and autumn in forests throughout Europe and North America. The association between fungus and host tree is mycorrhizal. This is a favorite species for eating and can be prepared as other edible boletes.

This semi circle is created from 4 trees on the brow of a hill in our local park. Photographed regularly by local amateurs I have returned time and time again to capture this wonderful image. It is a bit of a beast as it is surrounded by other trees, houses and football goals. I was again seen lying face down with grass tickling my nose to capture this image. I am very proud of it. Best yet and now I just have to find this position as the seasons change... It would have been lovely to have blue skies in the background but hey ho. Captured just before the rain started, the camera and I got very soggy but survived!

Its quite scary putting your expensive equipment close to the water but the result is worth it,
