I'll be VERY busy next days (and maybe months), so I will not be able to do my regular visits as usual. I'll try to keep posting pictures from time to time, and visit people who comment or fave them, but I can't guarantee it. Wild garlic time again in the nearby woods. I'm very lucky to have this so close to home and can visit it in lockdown.
he doesn’t move. the ocean, the breeze, the sailboats — none of it touches him. bent over a glowing screen, with his face in shadow and light behind him, he becomes the emblem of now. he sits like punctuation at the edge of the frame: a full stop at the end of the day, waiting for something that won't return.
I sat on the curb to get this photo of my favorite purple Volkswagen beetle. I wanted to shoot it for the We're Here group's visit to the Perfect Purple Saturdays group. I don't know who owns it or where exactly on the street it might be parked. Wasn't sure if i would find it this morning, but i did. I figured i had a two-fer, if i could get down low enough for the Our Daily Challenge "How low can you go?"

No development, no fixation.
This camera was dug underground in horizontal position to solar arches. Heavy rains washed the ground and shook the camera.

A couple of weekends ago I discovered a new spot on the River Massan to take some interesting shots. Unfortunately I had to take this shot quickly as it was getting dark and it was a tricky clamber to get back to the car. The fact that it was starting to rain certainly did not help. However I will be back later in the year to take my time with some shots of the area ... and hopefully the river will just be as swollen.

Not able to make new pictures lately. Going through my lost & found. First day of a year, that became very depressing and challenging.
A byproduct, in a way, this shot was meant to test angle of camera and exposure prior to a fireworks on the grounds of the Zollverein World Heritage Site in Essen, Germany.
Another one from last Sunday's visit to Ladram Bay. Difficult conditions for taking a landscape photo but perfect conditions for a day at the beach!
You have to bend down low to see the dandelions at eye level—and that’s exactly where spring shows off its brightest colors

Wild pansy - but by now means a shrinking violet, even though it has chosen a gap between two paving stones near a house and garage entrance around the corner as its home. With bug friend. Isn't it amazing where greens and flowers grow in our cities? True flower power :-)
For some reason the chorus of the B52's song "Good Stuff" came to my mind when I thought about a caption / title for this. I hadn't thought about the band or that song in ages, but it sure helped me to get rid of a pesky advertising jingle turned earworm which was bugging me for the past days. (Nicht ganz so) wildes Stiefmütterchen - aber keineswegs ein Mauerblümchen. Auch wenn es sich just einen Spalt im Asphalt bei einem Haus- und Hof-/Garageneingang bei mir um die Ecke als "Wohnzimmer" ausgesucht hat. Mit Käferfreund :-) Immer wieder erstaunlich, wo überall etwas Grünes und Blumiges wächst in unseren Städten, oder? Seltsamerweise fiel mir der Refrain des B52's-Songs "Good Stuff" ein, als ich nach einem Titel für's Foto suchte, dabei hatte ich schon seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr an die Band oder den Song gedacht. Jetzt dafür umso mehr, geradezu Ohrwurm-mäßig (zum Glück! In the woods keeping dry from the rain and watching the leaves fall, there's nothing like it, except maybe standing on the shore listening to the tide ! All the magic of nature.
A low angle shot taken on/in the Adam's Plaza Bridge, at Canary Wharf, during my day trip to London. The shot is a fairly common composition, but I tried to do something a little different by having the camera on the floor and deliberately keeping it underexposed slightly to give it a more eerie sci-fi feel.
It took a lot of patience and several tries to get the shot due to the number of people walking through it; there are still some people in the distance, but barely visible.

Another from a Lockdown walk in my local park. This mistle thrush being annoyed by a magpie, out of shot, to the left.
The crew of Trillium's Port Colborne job has tied down their MLW S-13 in the yard at Welland, Ontario for lunch - coffee, soup and sandwiches from Tim Hortons.
After the sunrise shoot of the previous image, we had a wander around Bridlington harbour, which provided an absolute Smorgasbord of photo opportunities. This area was littered with the paraphernalia of the fishing industry, including ropes and lobster pots.
I decided to travel light for this section of the morning and predominately used my Canon R8, handheld with the RF28mm pancake lens, which gives a very light and compact combination.
