Rachel Platten

But nothing ever happens if you stay in your room
Nothing ever happens if you leave the party too soon
Never be a winner if you're not in the game
And nothing ever happens if you always play it safe
Make a little space and get out of your own way
A ticket out sits on her shelf
And gathers dust upon itself
Cause chasing chance is for the brave
Maybe soon she'll feel that way
But nothing ever happens if you stay in your room
And nothing ever happens if you leave the party too soon
Nothing ever happens if you don't get hurt
And nothing ever happens if you never get dirty
Make a little space and go on, get out, go on get out
Leave what you don't need
You're free and the pieces will fall into place
You and you only who can make a little space and
And get out of your own way
She sees the sunlight through the cracks
It's only her who holds her back
And so she takes her deepest breath
Shuts the door and walks down the steps

An Azure-winged Magpie raises its vibrant blue tail, a likely sign of excitement, while gathering near an almost hidden pool. Captured from a low angle, this characteristic pose reflects the bird's social behavior

A European Turtle Dove walks in towards a small water puddle, perhaps pausing on its migratory journey south to northern sub-Saharan Africa to winter The setting is a vast, steppe-like landscape in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, offering a peaceful backdrop as the bird seeks refreshment.
I'm by no means a mushroom specialist and also not the biggest fan in the world in terms of mushroom dishes but I think this might be a nice penny bun. The forest below Easdon Tor in Dartmoor National Park was full of all sorts of fungi, the shamrocks added a nice bit of additional interest to the woodland scene. I would however not dare to pick any as I have no idea about what is delicious and what is lethal....
Here a video of our walk up to Easdon Tor and through the woods:

There are a few of these old mansions which formerly belonged to rich businessmen in the city. Unhappily some of them have been left to rot and are in a very poor state of repair. This is sad because those that have been renovated are magnificent.
Artistic low-angle framing of a bronze statue of a warrior, viewed from behind, facing two prominent minarets.
The figure of the historical warrior is clad in armor, chainmail and wears a helmet.
A shield is visible on the left side of the statue.
In the background, two tall, ornate minarets rise towards a clear sky.
The composition places the warrior statue prominently in the foreground, creating a sense of depth and scale against the towering minarets in the background. The low-angle shot emphasizes the grandeur of both the statue and the architectural elements.
The natural sunset lighting creates a warm glow on the statue and the minarets.
Union Twp, Pennsylvania.

The three juveniles out of four this year. Unfortunately the fourth one is very small (probably a male or late hatch), weak, and did not have a chance to fight for the food. So it was left behind. I wish all four of them were together, to complete the set.

This used to be the only road connecting the villages Kópasker and Raufarhöfn. But it has now been bypassed by a modern asphalt road.

After a recent trip to Kew Beach in Toronto, I thought it would be fun to visit a spot I haven't been to in 25 years; the Scarborough Bluffs.
After a quarter century, it's so great to see something with a new set of eyes ;)
