I bought some Mary Engelbritsen (sp?) wrapping paper and decided to make cookies from her design! The only main design change I made was going with a chocolate brown background instead of a black one. And the border is dots instead of a checkerboard. Not super happy with how they came out, as I was having trouble with my eyes staying focused while I did the outlining.
What is this pretty thing Mommy??? She is so intrigued by bright shiny things! I just love this ball of furry love!!!!
Mercy was so good to pose for me here. She HATES wet grass :(( But, she LOVES home made turkey meatballs :))
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?
I thought I could see the sadness in 'Fudges' eyes. Proves the camera lies as she is one of the happiest Chocolate Labradors I know, who lives in a very happy and love home with two other four legged friends. 😃
the new girl. we adopted her last week. she came in to the shelter as a stray six months ago and has spent the last several months between the sick cat room and foster homes.
Now she's healthy and home for good <3

“I want my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren to grow up here. We have been here 30 years, this is our home. Many of our people have nowhere else to go. If they demolish the community then we are homeless.”
“...what they should do is rebuild the community, build good quality houses and provide the services that we too have a right to. This is our land, our community,” said

Godinton is a comfortable, much-loved home; each room has a different feel, a contrast on a theme, not designed by architect or curator but for the taste and enjoyment of those who lived here over the centuries and now for visitors.
Tours of the house are led by expert guides unravelling the 600 years of history and revealing an excellent country house collection of furniture, art, porcelain and curios.
Enjoy delicious homemade cakes and refreshments in the old Billiard Room.
The famous yew hedge surrounds the formal gardens with the wild, Italian and walled gardens beyond, full of colour and interest through the seasons.
Events, courses and workshops are run throughout the year to be enjoyed by all. Godinton is an excellent teaching resource tailored to suit individual needs.
A working estate with lovely walks, close to the picturesque village of Great Chart.

As detached as my parents are, they love in different ways... like standing at the door until they see my car roll down the street.
We're not a physically or verbally affectionate family, but all that animated Hollywood "love you" crap doesn't ring true to me anyway. But I mostly like this approach better because, well... it's mine.

When I was a little girl, all I wanted to do was read. One day, to avoid my pesky little brothers, I went to a horse pasture and climbed a tree with my book. I fell out of the tree and broke my arm. It was broken in the upper part of my arm so the recovery meant 6 weeks home from school. My mother was not a happy camper. Who knew reading could be so dangerous?
