Sawyer's reading glasses were fun to make. At first I did the Professor Sayid method and built a little fire in my backyard but it overmelted the bridge. Then I tried a glue gun but the glue wouldn't harden, very odd. Soldering iron was what worked at the last minute.

Each fair (mela) and carnival has its own secrets!
Gangasagar pilgrimage is extremely tough for villagers coming from other states of India. Most of the pilgrims hailed from states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh and Odisha; there were also a good number of them from Assam and Tripura, besides the home state Bengal.
Each year pilgrims were lost/ separated from their family members at the mela ground. In this year (2015) alone, around 1.5 million people visited Gangasagar and, there have been 64 cases of pilgrims who were separated from their families and could not be reunited. However, 2,000 others who were lost at the carnival were able to find their friends and families with the help of the government and voluntary organisations.
It is very sad to say that those who get lost in the mela ground happen to be the elderly women hailing from remote villages. It could be true that Gangasagar mela is considered a convenient place to get rid of the elderly and the ailing, who have become a burden to their family. Helpless, bewildered people, wandering around without knowing who to turn to, is a common sight here.
Those who get lost are taken to the camp of the Bajrang Parishad, a non-government organisation (NGO) with 150 dedicated volunteers which works with the district administration to help lost people get back to their families. They have been successful in reuniting most of the people. The 64 pilgrims who are still missing are being brought to Kolkata and from here Bajrang Parishad will try to reunite them with their families with the help of different state and district administrations.

Gangasagar pilgrimage and fair, held annually, is the second largest congregation of mankind (more than 1.5 million this year) after the holy Kumbha Mela.

Somewhere between the french border and Villaherrerros we left the highway for lunch. We ended in a very little village at a road that clearely was the form er highway. The place was desolate, in more than one hour, we didn't see another car on that road. From this road, you see the nee highway with all the traffic, juist like in 'Cars'... :-)

The idea of these creatures came to me after I forgot my original idea for this competition. While I was trying to remember my idea I started to think about what happens to lost thoughts, which led to my final drawing. The rat-like creatures scurry out of hiding to feast upon the ideas that fall from the back of my head. With their brush tails, they sweep the ideas into their gaping dustpan mouths. Forgotten almost immediately after being seen, the creatures themselves become a lost thought.
Craighead Caverns is an extensive cave system located in Sweetwater, Tennessee. It is best known for containing the United States' largest and the world's second largest non-subglacial underground lake, The Lost Sea. In addition to the lake, the caverns contain an abundance of crystal clusters called anthodites, stalactites, stalagmites, and a waterfall.
Located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, the caverns are named after their former owner, a Cherokee native American, Chief Craighead. The caverns were formerly used by the Cherokee as a meeting place and later they were mined by Confederate soldiers for saltpeter, a commodity necessary to the manufacture of gunpowder
The Lost Sea
The lake was discovered in 1905 by a thirteen-year-old boy named Ben Sands. As the story goes Sands, who often played in the cave, happened upon a small opening and crawled through. The room was so large he was unable to see the ends of the room with his lantern, so he threw balls of mud in all directions and heard splashes. When he went back home and told people of his discovery they were hesitant to believe him. By the time Ben convinced his father to go back down with him to explore it further, the water level had risen, hiding the cave entrance from them. It was rediscovered by local explorers several years later.
The visible surface of the lake measures 800 feet (240 m) long and 220 feet (67 m) wide (4.5 acres (1.8 ha)) at normal "full" capacity. Cave divers have explored several rooms that are completely filled with water, without reaching the end of the cave. This exploration was conducted in the 1970s.
For many years The Lost Sea was considered the world's largest underground lake and is still recognized as the world's second largest non-subglacial underground lake after Dragon's Breath Cave, Namibia

Anaglyph 3D is the name given to the stereoscopic 3D effect achieved by means of encoding each eye's image using filters of different (usually chromatically opposite) colors, typically red and cyan. Anaglyph 3D images contain two differently filtered colored images, one for each eye. When viewed through the "color-coded" "anaglyph glasses", each of the two images reaches one eye, revealing an integrated stereoscopic image.

A small freshwater lake surrounded by a peaceful coastal forest, the Lost Lake unit of the New River Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) provides a quiet, contemplative location for hiking, birdwatching, and picnicking on Oregon’s South Coast.
One of approximately 20 lakes in Oregon named Lost Lake, this one features a hiking trail with scenic lakeside views and a connection to the New River through neighboring Bandon State Natural Area.
The trail begins at the small parking lot and follows the southern and western sides of the lake through a mature coastal forest. The beginning of the trail is flat with a hard-packed surface; the western portion has steep sections with loose sand. The one-way distance to New River is approximately 1.5 miles.
Running parallel to the Pacific Ocean for nine miles, New River is separated from the ocean by only a thin foredune of sand. Many rare birds, animals, and plants depend on New River's estuary, forest, meadow, wetland, and shrub habitat for survival. Dedicated almost exclusively to Watchable Wildlife, the area remains secluded and primitive, providing nature enthusiasts with short, rustic, self-guided loop trails to view wildlife. There are four main access points to New River ACEC: Storm Ranch, Floras Lake, Lost Lake, and Fourmile Creek.
