The Coastal Track
Royal National Park

3 km into the Royal National Park coastal track, all we saw around us were dense vegetation and few glimpses of the ocean. We were starting to question whether did we take a wrong turn somewhere! With reassuring sound of wave crashing against the steep cliffs, we continued on our way.
Thankfully, the forest simply stopped (as you can see in the photo) and what greeted us were breathtaking views of the coastline. Threading along tall grass and surrounded by green tree-covered cliffs. One can easily draw some resemblance to the terrifying scene from Jurassic Park, where velociraptors were lurking in the grass. They take down their prey one by one and disappear in the foliage!
Photography wise, the clouds were white and fluffy which were further highlighted by the help of a circular polarizer. The polarizer also helped to cut down on the mist shrouding some the distant headlands. Composition wise, I tried to use the track as a leading line and as an interesting foreground element. The only thing I am a little disappointed about was the harsh shadows on the top right corner of the image. Unfortunately, this was shot close to mid day and the lighting was definitely not flattering.

RayRay as an old FAT granny. the lost puppy was actually stuck between his/her but cheeks. funny as hell as usual with him. I have another funny pic of him somewhere in my photostream where he is wearing a snorkeling mask full of water.

The LOST production team has really developed a fondness for the historic YWCA on Richards Street in downtown Honolulu. They returned again this evening for a third-floor shoot. Even though they didn't get started 'til the sun was going down, crane mounted lamps could easily have given the interior shoot the look of a daytime scene. Evangeline Lilly was spotted, as was an unfamiliar actress.
Don't admit they are with you and they will be taken away for the rest of the evening.

A neat little place unknown to most who pass thought Stirling, Alberta. The Lost Frontier Mini Railroad and Stirling Haunted Mansion is a fantastic little quirky place to visit.
The old Ogden Home which my grandparents once owned in the 1970s. They had to sell because my grandpa got a job teaching at the Wrentham school and had to relocate to Wrentham. (DAMN!!!) lol
Note the 'cranberry red corbels' were painted by my grandma when they first got the place haven't received paint since.
The Ogden home was once abandoned for a short time and said to be haunted according to village records. It also held the community school in the 1930s when the second story of the Galt School house caught fire. School was held here until the school was renovated. The home was also a dance hall for a short time.
The Ogden home has gone through a few owners over the years. The current owners hold a Hunted mansion around Halloween and go well over the top decorating every year. At Christmas time they hold the Santa Clause mansion in conjunction with the village Christmas light tour.

Whilst walking to the store to buy 72% dark chocolate and some old cheese I came across a lost car rim. I tried using this 'mostly uninteresting' subject to create a different perspective and somewhat more interesting scene.

It is funny how how words are lost in translation. Here we have a convenience store on the streets of Shanghai, China selling sim cards, umbrellas and "fine woman" and another sign shows "supergirl room"
From English translation, one may get the wrong impression that there is a massage parlor at the back of convenience store. Notice the spelling of "Covenience"
The correct translation for fine woman is ladies handbags. And the supergirl room is fashion cloths.
I can just hear the epic music, see vincent running into the water, gosh I love LOST. How one show could so constantly deliver iconic images and scenes every week is beyond me.
I thought I'd lost this container and all the figures in it. In fact, I had become certain that I had accidentally disposed of these action figures and parts - so certain was I, in fact, that I had already purchased replacements for some of the smaller accessories.
I had looked through all of my "current" storage tubs three or four times, from the top to the bottom of the stack, taking everything out of the tubs and packing it back in to be sure I did not overlook anything. I had torn through stacks of empty boxes. I'd looked under tables. I'd looked in places where there was no reasonable reason for me to have stashed anything.
I had looked, or I thought I had looked, pretty much everywhere... except, apparently, where I had managed to stash this plastic tub with the missing action figures.
I was looking for something completely unrelated yesterday and in the process I moved some other things, and then I saw a tub that had something else I'd been planning to look for. When I went to move that tub, there was yet another tub on top of it that I had to move first to gain access.
Then I discovered there was STILL ANOTHER tub on top of the one I had almost randomly decided to open, a small plastic tub that had been pushed to the back, hidden under a shelf, and in that hidden, buried tub were the missing figures I had given up for lost.
I can't quite figure how that tub and those figures ended up behind a stack of unrelated items, but I'm thinkin' maybe I have way too many of said "unrelated items" and a major mega-purge is in order.
