I went backpack camping at Lost Maples State Park. It was a mostly clear night and I was the only one in the hike-in camping area that I chose up on the ridge. It was so dark, I could easily see the Milky Way stretching across the sky. The light on the horizon is from the town of Leaky, I think. I couldn't see it with my eyes.
This is about the only selfie I will do this year.
Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were visible. Pluto is supposed to be in there, but I don't think I could find it.
It was hot, I was tired and sore from the long hike and climb with full pack, I was alone in the park except for the RV campers a few miles away, and it was one of the best nights I can remember. Can't wait to do it again.
The limekilns at the Winnington works of Brunner Mond & Co are now demolished. There were originally six shaft kilns which were extended to nine in the 1950s. It seemed that they would be there for ever.

(ESP) Cuando visito y fotografío lugares como este pienso en las historias que se han vivido allí, los momentos que habrán quedado perdidos en el olvido. En este caso se trata de una masía del siglo XVI. En la imagen del enlace siguiente uno se puede hacer a la idea de lo que llegó a ser.

Tan perdida por los aires, como sino sintiera, como si todo esto estuviese ya roto... ya no hay salida, y ya queda poco tiempo...
Pd: No he sacado fotos, por el problema que tuve, a mi espalda, que no podía no moverme... bueno así que como no tengo, subo esta fotografia, de mi verano por el Sur de Chile, creo que aquí estaba en los aires de Puerto Montt

This young man seemed totally lost in his own day dreams. He was sitting on top of sacks of vegetables at Chaudi market, Goa. I liked his far away look and wondered what he was thinking about.
Home from work with the flu today so inbetween nap's and a little study, I played around with my little Canon s95. Found some old close up lens's in the back of an old drawer and had some fun with clip art. Really pleased with the result. Photo is about 15 mins work total.
