The Georgetown Loop Railroad operates over a former Colorado & Southern narrow gauge line between Georgetown and Silver Plume, Colorado. It "loops" back over itself via the Devil's Gate Viaduct, which was rebuilt in 1984 (the original was in use from 1884 until 1939).

Locomotive No. 111 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, Penn., in 1926 for the International Railways of Central America. It is very similar to the locomotives once used on the Georgetown Loop, although it is an oil burner (most C&S locomotives burned coal).

Lynn shot this on Loop road there were a pair of them. We tried very hard to get a good shot with both of them in it.. When they were close enough to being on the same distance one would be in the bright sun and the other would be in in dark shade.

Even thou we didnt get any really good shots of the interaction is was fun watching all of the dancing head bobbing and caring on

The Ormond Beach Loop is a scenic drive in Volusia County, running through and north of the town of Ormond Beach. The scenic drive crosses and runs amongst numerous waterways and salt marshes, including the Tomoka River, Halifax River, and Bulow Creek. These shots were taken from the roadway which runs between Bulow Creek State Park and Tomoka Island State Park, crossing the Tomoka River in the process.

El Condor| Walibi Holland 30/04/2017 12h29

One of the major roller coasters of Walibi.

El Condor

El Condor is a steel suspended roller coaster located at Walibi Holland in the Netherlands. The ride opened in 1994 as the first of many Vekoma Suspended Looping Roller Coasters (SLC).

The coaster was built by Vekoma in 1994, which was just after the acquisition of the Flevohof by the Walibi group. Condor was the first roller coaster on the European mainland where the seats are under the rails and the first in the world where two chairs are sitting next to each other instead of four. This roller coaster was the first of two prototypes. Condor is a Suspended Looping Coaster, of which type, many versions are available in other parks, including Vampire in Walibi Belgium and MP-Express in Movie Park Germany. In 2011, the job was re-aligned to make the ride more smooth. In autumn 2013, the roller coaster was painted again. The support posts of the track remained green, but the rails changed from white to orange. The official name was then changed to Condor, but at the entrance of the attraction, anno 2017 still features "El Condor" on the facade. In February and March 2017, the support posts were also painted again, but retained their color.

There were formerly three roller coaster trains, and all three were used until 2002. Blue and red were the main trains, yellow reserve. Because three trains in use only resluted in 120 people extra per hour, extra capacity was never driven with three trains simultaneously. Also, the electrical system was heavily burdened and some sections were interrupted regularly. The yellow train was demolished after 2002 to be able to use parts in the other trains.

Many of the Eastbourne E400s have this modest branding for the 'Loop', a circuitous route around the area.

One example is 19650, seen at Langney shops. This batch were cascaded from the 'Tay Way' route in Dundee, and the 'Loop' requires eight such buses. 19648-653/5/9 (the latter new to Oxford) seem to be those branded, leaving 19654/56/62/68 in standard livery. 9.6.18.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! OK, I wasn't able to ride the ride. I had my purse and my camera and my son's giant monkey stuffed animal he won, but I rode in spirit because I am a thrill seeker. My son got to ride and he's in the one of the two front seats . . . hey, why does he get to ride? What about me? What about MY fun? Kids get to have fun all the time; how come he was the one on the Super Loops and I was the poor chump on the ground with all the junk? To quote me as a 10 year old girl, "THAT'S NOT FAIR!"

I want a do-over.

Cute little caterpillar found eating the celery in the vegie patch.

The Cabbage Looper (Trichoplusia ni) is a member of the moth family Noctuidae. It is found throughout the southern Palaearctic ecozone, all of North America, parts of Africa and most of the Oriental, parts of Europe and Indo-Australian region. In the United Kingdom, where the adult is primarily a (sometimes numerous) immigrant but breeding is rare, the species is also known as the Ni Moth. The name derives from the forewing marking, which resembles the lowercase Greek letter Ni.

The caterpillar, a measuring worm, is smooth and pale green with white stripes and is one of a many species called cabbage worm. It is called a "looper" because it arches its body as it crawls, inchworm-style. This species is very destructive to plants due to its voracious consumption of leaves. The adult of the species is a nocturnal brown moth.

From the mind of Andrew Bird. A quiet moment in low light.

“When I close my eyes sometimes and try to sleep, I can’t stop thinking about my own eyes. And it’s like your eyes start straining to see themselves.

That’s what it feels like to me.

It’s not pleasant.

I’m sorry if I put that idea in your head.”

The Willow City loop is a 13 mile loop road located 15 miles northeast of Fredericksburg Texas. It is basically a single lane open range (where cattle graze without fencing) road that runs through one of the most beautiful areas of the Central Texas hill country. During the spring the road is lined with beautiful wildflowers, and because of that it becomes a big time tourist destination. On weekends the cars will be bumper to bumper for the entire length of the loop. Needless to say the ranchers do not like all of the spring time traffic and crowds. This shot give us an idea what the road looks like.

A looper moth caterpillar, making a loop :) at the RSPB, Lochwinnoch reserve.

Yesterday evening, this maple looper moth (Parallelia bistriaris_Hodges #8727) flew into the house from the garage, landing on the pantry door just long enough for me to get this quick shot before it flew off and disappeared. This morning I found it fluttering at the kitchen window. Luckily, i was able to cup it in my hands and release it outside, where it immediately flew off, free.
