ROYAL LIVER BUILDING - OPENED JULY 1911

MUSEUM OF LIVERPOOL LIFE - OPENED JULY 2011

100 YEARS SEPARATES THE TWO BUILDINGS AND THERE IS SOME DEBATE AS TO THE POSITIONING OF THE NEW BUILDING - THE MORE I VISIT THE MORE I THINK THE PIER HEAD AREA HAS IMPROVED SO MUCH.

usually take a bicycle ride around the city, ended up in marikina where there are still few acacia trees alongside the river to take refuge under summer heat.

this is my first vacation pix of 2012.

the lines on this building were so engrossing i forgot the name of this building.

I woke up ready to do something! I am going to get HALF the house clean...hehe! I don't want to take ALL the fun out of the day...I'll leave some of it for tomorrow. :P

It seems odd to find mallard ducks in the 'burbs, but we have them come back around here every spring. There is a pond not far away, on the other side of the middle school across the street from my house, and further down into town, a large creek runs through. The lady has chosen a secluded spot in the shrubbery in my front foundation bed for her nest this year, and we have a good view from the window in our dining room. I thought he looked a bit like a sentry up there, watching out for all things untoward and malicious.

First time on the upper pathway.
