While walking on the island near the place we were staying, I ran into another guest who said, "there's a nice pecker halfway up the eyeland. Make your way and have a look." He was English, and well, yes, pecker...bird. I looked but didn't see it. I had to tell K I couldn't find the pecker.

 

Missing the train to Paris this morning afforded us an opportunity to be spontaneous and laid back in our travels. By staying close to Connelles, where we were staying, we were able to relax and have fun at our apartment/condo site. It was right on the Seine so it was a nice place to walk around.

11.08.10 First snow fall of the season! Don't get me wrong, I still dislike winter, but I love snow. If it has to be winter, it might as well snow.
