I was having lunch on my back deck and I heard the rustle of leaves. When I looked down, I saw two fawns playing alongside their mother, who was busily munching on poison oak. One ventured into a clearing, looked up, and I got the shot.
this weekend should not just be about beaches and BBQs (staying home and staying safe) but about those who gave their lives for the freedoms we hold dear. and this year we add those who died keeping us safe from disease, too

These are Grackles and they are continually looking up. I always thought they were looking for a threat from the sky, but further research found that this is instead a courting ritual! They can't actually see the sky when they look up since the eyes are on the sides of their heads and to see the sky they would have to tilt their heads. Interesting! :) Happy Sabbath! ❤

This is the inside of the Pantheon in Paris. The building is over going a huge makeover and most of the rooms very too bust to photograph so I didn't get many pictures from here but I did find this room with this cool ceiling.
