For Looking Close on Friday theme "Flowers in Pastel Colours"

"Sleepy" was missing for quite a while - couldn't find him anywhere until I looked up where I heard him snoring his head off high up on the staircase and between the steps .... there he hoped he wouldn't be disturbed :-)

Who is crazy enough and dares disturbing a Sleeping Bear ???

My attempt at the "Crazy Tuesday" theme "Looking up".

Shot with a "Tomioka-Copal 71 mm F 4" (enlarging) lens on a Canon EOS R5.

this weekend should not just be about beaches and BBQs (staying home and staying safe) but about those who gave their lives for the freedoms we hold dear. and this year we add those who died keeping us safe from disease, too

From catsupbottle.com: The World's Largest Catsup Bottle® stands proudly next to Route 159, just south of downtown Collinsville, Illinois. This unique 170 ft. tall water tower was built in 1949 by the W.E. Caldwell Company for the G.S. Suppiger catsup bottling plant - bottlers of Brooks old original rich & tangy catsup.

These are Grackles and they are continually looking up. I always thought they were looking for a threat from the sky, but further research found that this is instead a courting ritual! They can't actually see the sky when they look up since the eyes are on the sides of their heads and to see the sky they would have to tilt their heads. Interesting! :) Happy Sabbath! ❤
