The brick building is the old R. M. Williams building built in 1932. It has been integrated into a mall in the area.
One of the many things I enjoy about tramping is the opportunity to look back on the ground you have covered the previous day(s).
On this 6 day tramp, we travelled from the Cobb valley to the Aorere valley, via the Douglas range in Kahurangi National Park . Part of the route we took is unofficially known as the "low route" as it bypasses the most difficult section of the Douglas range known as the "Dragons Teeth".
This photo was taken as I look back at the low route. We descended into this (Anatoki) valley on one of the distant spurs on the right and camped on the river flats in the bush. The next day we made our way up the river to the headwaters and bush bashed on a compass bearing to this saddle and Adelaide tarn. This was all untracked travel and one of the better days tramping I have had.

One of the many "face sculptures" found at Bayon, Ankor Thom, Cambodia.
Built in the 13th century as the official state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman's capital, Angkor Thom.
The Bayon's most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and massive stone faces on the many towers which jut out from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak. The temple is home also to two impressive sets of bas-reliefs, which depict an unusual combination of mythological, historical and mundane events. The main current conservatory body, the JSA, has described the temple as "the most striking expression of the 'baroque' style" of Khmer architecture, in contrast with the classical style of Angkor Wat.[Unlike Angkor Wat, which impresses with the grand scale of its architecture and open spaces, the Bayon "gives the impression of being compressed within a frame which is too tight for it

This is the centre look up view of Putrajaya bridge, Malaysia. As we were driving along the bridge and noticed many people stop their car along the side to watch the night scene, I was curious to pull over and walk across for a few photo shoot, instead this look up view in the middle of the divider catch my attention.
